In spite of their poor service, unprofessional cashiers, hard of hearing order takers, and their very tall, very robotic, male drive thru guy…I still go here a lot.. why? Because it’s in the same plaza as Walmart and I tell myself it’s convenient, although it is not! I like the chili and the baked potatoes, but they don’t have those available a majority of the time. I had my mother with me on this occasion and I tried using my Wendy’s mobile app to place my order…that turned out to be a nightmare. First of all it wouldn’t accept my mother‘s debit card as an acceptable payment. (She has one of those debit cards attached to her monthly Social Security/SSI check). In addition to that, my mom ordered a burger called the Carolina Classic, but when we got to the drive-through window, the worker informed us that they didn’t have that burger, and that they couldn’t make that burger…what?? So then why were we allowed to order it on the app if it’s not available??? …that’s ridiculous! My mom had her heart set on that burger! that was strike two… but Wendy’s still had one more to go..My mother loves the chocolate frosty, so naturally we had ordered two and, yep… we get to the window and guess what, they only have vanilla Frosty’s!!! Strike three!! It was really a bad experience. I left there so upset! My mom just broke her hip and she is recovering from surgery, she doesn’t get out of the house very often and I had taken her with me on a a few errands, she could’ve had anything she wanted but she wanted Wendy’s and it was a disaster. I don’t think I’ll be going back there for a...
Read moreThree strikes. First time there a couple years ago and the restaurant smelled like grill smoke. Awful ventilation. I had to change my clothes when I got home because all I could smell was French fries. After a couple years for some strange reason (oh right! I wanted a frosty) I went to the drive thru a couple months ago. Waited and waited and waited at the order post, “hello?”, no answer, not a sound. Pull around to the window, no one around. Tapped the horn. Nothing! Lights on, a few cars in the lot, absolutely no response at the window. We left. Strike two. Today I wanted a frosty, pulled into the drive thru, asked what flavors they had (learned this lesson before) and she says only a wild berry flavor. Fine. That’s ok. “Oh, and we can only accept exact change.” What?? “We can’t take any cards either, because that’s not working.” Well, all I had were some $20 bills, so that ended that. I can’t help but wonder why they couldn’t make change of any kind. Seriously? Is it because you don’t have the skill to do it? I can’t think of any other reason. Anyway, I hate to say it, but this is the worst Wendy’s I can ever recall having anywhere I’ve lived. So three strikes, I’m out, won’t be returning again. I honestly don’t know how this place stays open. Georgetown peeps must have low standards. I saw in the news recently there was a child “doing something” in the food prep area, by the fryers! Thank God we still have a McDonald’s in town. I gave no stars for the food because I’ve never been able to get any since that first visit a...
Read moreOrdered on the app to pick up in the store. When I arrived there were four others waiting for their orders. The young man who was the cashier began to verbalize his frustration with the mobile order messing up his rhythm. It was only after all other orders were completed that he began to out together mine. He gave one of my sandwiches the line cook had made to another order so he very rudely told her he needed another. The manager, I assume because of his attire, was nice enough but took something outside, an order I guess, walked inside and picked up trash off the floor, then went to open lemonade mix with those same hands and pour it into the mixer. The cashier continued to use profanity as he complained about being there and performing his job. The food was adequate but I will never stop at this store again. There was a couple that came in and were ignored after minutes of waiting to order so they had the right idea and left. There were cups tossed and turned upside down that the cashier was using to make drinks with. Not a sanitary...
