I love to eat at Zaxby's whenever I travel from Baltimore to Florence to visit my daughter. Tonight wasn't the Zaxby's that I know. I arrived to the restaurant at 8:30. When I ordered my food, I told the cashier FOUR TIMES that the order was for dine in, because as she was typing the order in, it still showed "to go", on the register's screen. When I was called to the counter for my order, it was boxed up, and put in a bag for to go. I asked for honey mustard, they were out of honey mustard. I asked for my wings, and fingers to be cooked extra crispy, they weren't cooked crispy at all. I asked for ketchup, they were out of ketchup as well. I asked for napkins, they stated that they were out of napkins. So I walked back to my seat, and the manager immediately walked over, and handed me some napkins. So, I guess being out of them was initially a lie. A brief moment later, as we're eating, the young lady, whom took our order, walks over to the table, and says: "Excuse me! I'm sorry to interrupt y'all, but we close at 9, but if y'all are not done eating, I'll wait. First, and foremost, unless she was blind, she clearly SAW that we were still eating. Secondly, you don't just kick customers out of the restaurant if they're already seated, and trying to enjoy the meal that they've paid for. That is HORRIBLE customer service. I can't even fathom how I would make my clients on my job feel if I just walked over, and rudely interrupted them, and kicked them out, because I was going to be there for an additional 10 minutes than what I expected. The irony of this is that the restaurant doesn't close TOTALLY until 10, therefore she wasn't leaving at 9:01. I will be contacting corporate to inform them of how things are being run at the behest of their...
Read moreExtremely Disappointed with Hygiene Standards and Unfulfilled Promises at this Zaxby's location.
In October 2023, during a visit with my family, I entered the women's restroom only to witness a Zaxby's employee exiting a stall without washing her hands. This immediately raised serious concerns about the restaurant's commitment to basic hygiene practices. What was even more appalling was the absence of soap in the dispenser. This lack in hygiene left me utterly disgusted and prompted me and my family to immediately leave the restaurant and bring the matter to the attention of Zaxby's corporate office.
Upon reporting the incident, I immediately received a call from the district manager, who expressed her apologies and assured me that she would send a gift certificate as a gesture of goodwill for the inconvenience. However, despite her promise, I never received the gift certificate. Frustrated with the lack of follow-through, I contacted her again on November 29th, only to be met with another assurance that the certificate would be mailed that day.
As of December 26th, I still have not received the promised gift certificate, despite my continued efforts to address the matter. This not only reflects poorly on the district manager's commitment to customer satisfaction but also on Zaxby's corporate responsibility to rectify such issues promptly.
The disregard for hygiene standards and the failure to honor promises have left me deeply disappointed and questioning the integrity of this Zaxby's location. I find it disheartening that a company I once trusted has fallen short in addressing a matter of basic cleanliness and...
Read moreWe stopped in at 4:30 in the afternoon and should have known by the lack of cars that we didn't need to stop. Walked into the place and the manager was working in the back boxing food. Not a cashier in sight. She hollered not 1, not 2 but 3 times for a cashier up front...not one person responded. She finally went to walk around the wall to take our order when a girl came from the drive thru window area and her first words were clipped in asking if it was for here or to go. Then the Coke machine was out of Coke so my husband had to ask them to get his drink. I walked to the dining area to find not a single clean table. We picked the cleanest and sat. The food was out to us in a timely manner, and was good. But while eating 5 employees were loitering in the dining area, chit chatting...no tables being cleaned, no attention being paid to the drink machine. Orders from the drive thru had people coming back in for corrections...I think the couple that came in just behind us and left without ordering had the right idea. So, if you want an unclean dining room, no staff to wait on you and an over worked manager dealing with the mess...you are in the right place. If not, you might want to go to Popeye's or...
