Was craving Mexican and have been seeing lots of good reviews and people going on my way to the gym so I decided to give it a try. My favorite dessert is flan so it was a bonus this place had it $1 cheaper than another spot I was considering.
This was a bad choice and I won't be coming back. I was at the restaurant for a total of about 1 hour. Got Sweet tea, super chimichanga with rice instead of beans and salad, and flan of course. Service was the worst part of this visit. I finished my salsa for the free chips and sweet tea which wasn't very sweet and waited about 5-10 minutes before the waitress (Fady) decided to check back in. I got another tea but no salsa, she didn't stick around long enough for me to even ask. After I ordered I didn't see her again until the food arrived, still no salsa or a chance to ask as she was gone as soon as I looked up from the food going to the table. The food was good and came how I ordered it so no problems there. I finished my meal and the waitress showed back up to take the plate and immediately turned around saying she was getting my check and I admittedly lost my patience and called her back to order my flan. Ate the flan which was okay but seemed to try to deflect from the flavor by adding tons of whipped cream. She showed back up again with my check about 2 minutes after my flan was finished. I gave her my card and she returned the fastest she has the entire night to return my card and receipt to sign. It seemed like she didn't care if I was happy she just wanted to get me in, eat, take my money and kick me out. There was zero personality or feeling I was a welcome customer!
On a side note, in a COVID-19 world, they are doing next to nothing in regards to safety. During my entire visit, I was the only customer wearing a mask with at least 8 new customers coming in since I was seated. No enforcement, no sanitizer, they wiped down tables normally nothing extra, social distancing was non-existent. Only the staff wore masks. They had plastic silverware though I saw another table with metal silverware. I decided to ask to see if I could as well and was told they didn't have any. My flan came out however with a normal metal spoon.
This was my first ever visit here and I am not going to come back. I feel I would've had been more welcomed and happier if I paid the extra dollar for flan and dinner at the other Mexican restaurant. If you are concerned about COVID at all...
Read moreHonestly I was very excited to go to an "Authentic Mexican Restaurant" of course I read all the reviews, and they were mostly pretty good. The decor was amazing, and literally on top of Mexican culture. I happen to love those little family owned authentic Mexican Restaurants that you know are nothing more than the best places, and experiences ever. I got the super burrito with beans and rice also known as the "Wet Burrito" my partner got the steak quesadilla and he asked for no peppers or onions just the meat and cheese, and I asked if it came with the beans and rice on the side obviously, and I also asked for my sour cream on the side. When our waiter brought out our drinks I asked for extra ice but had barely any inside. Then when he brought out my meal there were no beans and rice on the side as well as absolutely no sour cream anywhere. He brought it with the beans and rice inside with the sauce on top, and the cheese and no sour cream. He had to take it back and remake it. Then when he brought my partners food out, there were peppers and onions loaded inside with no cheese inside at all. Then when he started eating it he realized that there was barely any meat inside, and if you order the steak or chicken they charge an extra 4 dollars for that with only like 3 strips of steak inside. My burrito wasn't bad, and honestly the food had a good taste but for almost 20 dollars for a meal. It was definitely not worth the money, and the service we received. It was very slow, and the servers didn't really speak English. You could tell because they looked very confused and obviously the way our food came out. I never leave reviews on anything but I was so upset especially my experiences with some real authentic Mexican Restaurants, and I can say this was the worst. I'm sorry to leave such a terrible review. I can only hope they can make the necessary changes so in the future they can thrive to better...
Read moreOk so we used to go here once or twice a month for years, and well to be honest the food is good! However, time and time again chance after chance there is ALWAYS a problem. This time tonight was the final straw! Everyone in my party ordered their food and was delivered in a reasonable amount of time. Mine didn’t show up so I figured it would follow shortly, after about 20 min and after my party finished their food they finally came by my table to check on us and I said I’m hungry. Server looked at me with a blank stare, I said I never got my food.
I ordered fajitas and they brought out my cheese, sour cream, and beans first and on time but my fajitas never showed. When I quizzed him he said you never ordered fajitas. I said yes sure did, why would I have cheese , sour cream etc waiting here. He then walked off, and a lady came back and asked what happened I told her, the. She says do you wish to order food now I said yes! So too top it all off , I said I will order but I want a discount over this whole mess they are all done eating and I don’t have any food yet! I said send a manager and the manager never came the female server came back and said manager said he would apply a discount! So when I got my food finally after an hour I ate and they brought the check. They gave me $5.00 off for the mistake, which to me was an insult! After many attempts to go here due to good food it’s not worth the terrible service. After many years we won’t be back this time! I was more insulted by them passing blame to me and the lack of trying to make things right with me! Never again! Food is good...
