Bubb's Corner Pub — Restaurant in South Elgin

My family and I would always come for bingo on Wednesday nights and have a blast here at Stanley’s and even won some awesome prizes such as a TV! I recently wanted to have my graduation party near by and we decided this would be a perfect fit . Dawn did an amazing job at organizing and informing us of all the things that come with the food packages and offering the big party room in Stanley’s. It was a perfect spot for all my guests and accommodated perfectly to 40+ people. They let us come early the day of to decorate and get things set up which was very nice and even had some nice lights for us to use. The food was great, we catered food for the party and everyone devoured it as soon as it was out. We had the 2 stan’s packs with broasted chicken, Italian beef, Mostaccioli, mac and cheese, pulled pork, salad and the 4 appetizers. Everyone raved about the wings and the meatballs. They did an amazing job at keeping the food fresh and checked to see when trays were empty and brought out new ones. I couldn’t have asked for a better venue to host a party. We also had an open bar with a limit set and they were great with communicating when the limit was almost reached. They have a great beer choices and the glasses are huge, and she had a pop package that worked perfectly with my group. The best part was the pool tables and the darts, my family also loved the slots area. It was all in all a 10/10 and would highly recommend Stanley’s . I've been wanting some chicken enchiladas for awhile and, the place I would usually get them (across from Gee n Jays in Elgin. Well, it's not Gee n Jays anymore) they've been way too spicy. So spicy that it's ruined my meal. I do like spicy but, yeah.

I was doing a Google search and, I thought I would try "El Flaco's Mexican Restaurant" in South Elgin (used to be Stanley's Bar &Grill). I placed an order to go and, I went with the chicken enchiladas with the green sauce and, they come with a side of rice and beans. This meal was very good! One great thing... they weren't stingy with the rice and beans (like most places are). LOL

So, I went in and ordered to go. My wait-person, Felicia was really nice. She asked if I was in the rewards club and, I said "No, it's my first time here." For signing up, she gave me a $10 gift certificate (which needs to be used within 10 days). Also, she threw in a FREE dessert of churros. She asked if I would like the churro bites or, the horchata bites or, a combo of the bites. I chose the combo so I could try the horchata bites. She also gave me a chocolate sauce as well as a caramel sauce! How nice!!

One other thing, they have a "Buy One Combo (meal) Get One Free." It's only an eat-in deal and, you must buy at least one drink. I think that's a great deal. I'll be going back for that as well as to use my...
