Yesterday I passed by this McDonald and saw the word "HIRING" in the board. On January after the earthquake in Puerto Rico, my nephew came to live with me. He is a young man, responsible, a hard worker and he is bilingual (English-Spanish). He wanted to find a job right away, so I took him to different places. One of them was McDonald on Spring, which it's near my home. On that day we went to different places, I left him in McDonald's filling out the application. He was sharing with me the manager and place impression after getting or filling out his applications. I found very interesting that when he was done filling out the application in McDonald's, I asked him how it go, but his response was that this was the only place wasn't treated professionally and the he mentioned "maybe this person was having a bad day". McDonald's never called back him to be hired, but thankfully he was called from many other places that threaten and continue to treat him with respect since day one. Now he doesn't have one job, but he decided to keep one full-time and another one as a part-time.
I'm not sure what type of employees you are looking for, but as a teacher I have to say something about this. We keep correcting younger people about manners, but as adult we don't evaluate ourselves. I hope this not continue to happen, and I hope that if it does happens someone else speak out about it. Like I said, I saw the "Hiring" sign flashing yesterday, but then saw the word "Respect" in my head! So, good luck...
Read moreMy recent visit to the McDonald's in Elgin, Illinois, left me with mixed feelings. It's not often that I rate a fast-food chain with two stars, but my experience here was a bit of a rollercoaster.
On the positive side, the staff was friendly and attentive. They greeted me with a smile and took my order promptly. The service was efficient, and I didn't have to wait long for my food, which was a plus.
However, when it came to cleanliness, the restaurant fell short. Tables were sticky, and the floors were in need of a good cleaning. It made the dining area less inviting and comfortable.
Now, let's talk about the food. The taste was consistent with what I expect from McDonald's, so no major complaints there. However, my order was not entirely accurate. I received the wrong sauce for my McNuggets, which was a minor but noticeable error.
On the bright side, the restroom was clean and well-maintained, which is always appreciated.
In conclusion, the McDonald's in Elgin provided a mixed experience. While the friendly staff and efficient service were highlights, the cleanliness and order accuracy left something to be desired. It's a decent option for a quick meal, but improvements in these areas would greatly enhance the overall...
