Rosati's Pizza — Restaurant in South Elgin

Their pizza was cooked perfectly and the cheese had a great pull. The Rosatis I used to have in Aurora, their cheese was like rubber. This Rosatis in South Elgin is the taste I remember as a kid. Their service was the kind of service that can be hard to find. I ordered inside during lunch rush hour and I could tell the woman was working very hard and quickly with answering calls, taking orders, and having to unbox products. I could tell she was a little stressed, but she maintained her composure and was very kind and profesional to every customer while I sat waiting for my order. Then I saw her leave with a big order to deliver. She was doing it all. The man was in the back cooking and I’m pretty sure he was alone, but he was super fast at making the orders and our pizza came out to perfection. I am long time customer of this location, on 5/9/23 I ordered a small sausage supreme for pick-up. When I arrived home I noticed there was absolutely no sauce on the pizza, just toppings. When I called the restaurant (twice) to advise of this mistake there was no answer at 9:02pm. I called the following day at 2:15pm and spoke to Tim whom had said he was the only manager. I explained the situation and after a long pause no apologies he said "well what do you want me to do, you know you can always ask for extra sauce". I explained to him that this has never been a problem for me before and I typically would order at least 2-3 times a month. After this call with Tim, I don't feel valued as a customer and I feel as though he should not be in a leadership role if this is how he treats paying customers. We ordered pizza at 6:30pm, it was said to be ready at 7:30pm. We live 9 minutes away from the location. At 7:50 we called where the pizza is and they said "He left a while again he should be there any minute". After another 10 minutes at 8pm we called again and the same girl said that she doesn't know where he is so I asked her to call the driver and call me back. She never called me back so now I called again a third time and a different person now said the EXACT same thing. So we then told him to call the driver AGAIN and he left us on hold while calling the driver. And told us that he drove somewhere completely different. The driver was 35 minutes away from our house. He then arrive at 8:34 after we canceled our order. And he offered us the food for free but we didn't take it because we already ordered from pizza hut who had it done in 15 minutes.
