El Pescador — Restaurant in South Gate

Came on Sunday . It's been years since I been here . I always wash my hands before eating the restroom was disgusting!! Washed my hands and walked out . Went to my table it had no napkins to help myself. The menus were very dirty and sticky there was something wet on mine. I excused it hoping the food made up for it . Our server was in a hurry then he wasn't. He didn't seem too happy to be working there either not inviting at all . The food was very plain no flavor or seasoning our plate was huge the garnish on the dish was old the agua Chile "sauce" wasn't a sauce was more like green lime juice almost like a lime-aid in a lil container being Mexican I don't think it should be passed as agua Chile food all in all was disappointing once done with it our server never came back we had to ask another person for our check that person never came back with our check to sign we had to walk up and get it .mind you over an hour passed I return to the restroom hoping it would have been checked or cleaned but no was exactly the same. well my husband and I we wanted to go eat across the street from that restaurant and I didn't like it so we decided to go to a bus schedule and I am so glad that we did the atmosphere was wonderful they could use an upgrade on there chairs and table but that didn't matter the food was great the music was great the servers and waiters are great everything was great the food was immaculate everything was wonderful my food you can just look at my plate the food was good they serve so much of it I can't even finish it I didn't even eat my lobster my lobster came home my beans came home my steak came home my drink was oh my goodness it was so delicious and I really enjoyed my time with my husband which I really needed so it was good everything was divine and it was worth every penny so enjoy well I go again definitely. Let me start with the positive, the waitress that helped my table was great. The atmosphere was cool too. To my personal liking the food is good not great and the food is pricey. I'm giving this restaurant a 1 star because I found a rubber band in my food and when I say in my food I mean in my food. I took a bit of the guacamole that comes on the side with my dish and while I was chewing I felt something rubbery and when I took it out my mouth it was a full rubber band, a little one but still a rubber band. To their defense when I told the waitress and gave her the rubber band she offered to replace my plate but at that point I had already ate half of it so I told her no. But if I'm going to pay over $20 dollars for some chille rellenos, which I did pay, I expect to only get food not food with a rubber band mixed in...
