Sinaloa Express — Restaurant in South Gate

barbacoa was only served on weekends, which was worth waiting for. However, that changed last week when the worker informed my partner and I that they started served barbacoa on weekdays. It happened to be a Friday when we dined. Of course, we ordered barbacoa. Within a few hours of having dined at the restaurant, my partner and I both got food poisoning.

We decided to let the workers know, since we were loyal customers of the restaurant spending about $60-80 a week. We showed them a picture of the food we had thrown up and clearly, it was all the barbacoa we ate. The workers’ response was "It must've been alcohol or other drugs that you took or other food you ate."

WE DON'T DO DRUGS NOR DO WE DRINK!!

We explained that it was the only food we ate & they didn't acknowledge the fact that the cause of the food poisoning was from their food. They didn't even apologize or give us a discount for a future meal. All they did was argue against us.

From being two of their loyal customers, we are glad to take our money and spend it somewhere else!

I usually order doordash delivery from here, never went to the actual restaurant but today I went. And it was horrible chefs were cooking with no gloves. No precautions especially after Covid?! And with new variants. One of the cooks grabbed my cucumbers with his bare hands. The wait was outrageously long although I ordered pick up via doordash. Our first time here, and everything was delicious. We ordered filete de pescado plate and a plate of 4 sopes , and a side order of frijoles puercos. We also order homemade tortillas. We also order agua de Jamaica and agua de Cebada drink. Everything was really delicious. I highly recommend this place.
