Today we went to have family dinner after work here at Marinas , we order before other people got there and they still got their food before me and my mom . most of my family ate even the ones that came way after us , they served the other tables that came after my mom and me and when they finally gave me my plate they still didn’t give my mom her plate when she got there and ordered way before me , my mom asked more than 3 times if her plate was ready and they would keep on saying let me check ( and laugh and joked when they would get to the back)they never came with my moms plate my mom had to cancel her order because they never got it out and the problem is not the food its the waitress that work there they act so unprofessional, and really it shows that they don’t care at all , and when we cancel the order and we asked to talk to the manager now the food came out (incomplete) and not hot , and just because the owner packed the food if not I would still be waiting for my moms food , he gave her back the money and offered to give the food he was really respectful and kind so I was going to let everything go. so I though ,when I got home and opened my plate I saw that they had only given me 9 shrimp when I was supposed to have gotten 15 shrimp they only added 3 shrimp after I paid to get the extra 9 they held my plate in the back until it got cold and I only noticed the amount until I got home . It’s simply not right to treat people disrespectfully when they’re asking for what they paid for . Again the food is good but the people are extremely rude if you start to asking simple questions about your food , and they take out there anger on other...

This place was recommended to me by a family member. The food was cooked nicely. I like the fact that you could opt out the fried rice for some vegetables or a salad. For the price you have to understand you’re not getting locally caught seafood. I asked the waitress what kind of fish I had and was informed it was Swai and I’m sure the shrimp weren’t locally caught either. But for around $13 it was a nice plate of seafood. The service was relatively quick and the weight staff were pleasant and helpful. My one complaint that I brought it to the attention of the staff was that there are speakers in the dining area and they are on two different systems. This is not a large dining area. I was hearing Tejano music and some kind of pop music all at the same time. When I brought this to the attention of staff how annoying it was, I was informed that some of the speakers the staff didn’t have any control over and the other speakers were tied into the TV. However, they still didn’t fix the problem by turning off the speakers from the TV and I had to sit there and listen to two different things going on at the same time...

in regards to value, the prices were good. 30 shrimp and fries for $12 isn't bad, but it's a shame they put the fries at the bottom and shrimp on top which causes the fries to get soft and soggy as they steam under the shrimp and absorb all the oil. If they had been in a separate container they most likely would have been perfect, so I assume eating at the restaurant instead of take home might be better for this reason. The hushpuppies aren't that great, a bit small and the bits of corn aren't my favorite. The 5 pc catfish fillets and fries for $11 is a great deal, big portions, however again for take out, the fries at the bottom are soggy. As for the smoked sausage, it wasn't that tasty, then again served in a plastic bag I'm sure didn't help. So as I said, the 2 meals I ordered were a good value, however in regards to taste, there was none. The batter was light and just right, no cornmeal, just flavorless. If they had even used a store bought box of Zatarain's or Louisiana fish fry this would be an easy 4 star. Next time I'll try to sprinkle some lemon pepper on everything and hope it gives it...
