Waffle House — Restaurant in South Lebanon

This restaurant needs more training. I've been going to Waffle Houses for over 30 years. Mostly the one at the Dayton Mall and Moraine. Love them for breakfast, brunch, and 2:30am after a night out. When it came to Lebanon I was excited, but never got around to visiting until now. Prior to dining I read all the negative reviews and thought how bad can it be? Well....it's bad. It took FOREVER to get our food and there were only 3 tables full. This is the deadest Waffle House I've ever been to and it's right off the highway. There were 3 of us and the sandwich my son ordered was just left on the counter while the rest of the food was prepared, so that probably sat there 10 minutes. The waffle was well done but edible. My toast was burnt so bad it was like crunching on a black crouton. The bacon is just gross. Is it even bacon? The pieces are wide and rubbery, and you can't chew it. I did not eat it. I can never go back here. I don't even think it's the fault of the employees. They looked like they were trying hard but I honestly just don't think they've been trained. If this were the first 3 months they were open that'd be one thing, but they've been...

Overall nothing that would prevent me from going back. Busy. People waiting. Three tables dirty. Went and sat at the first cleaned table, then learned someone might have been ahead of us, but that family group let us have the table. Still the other two tables remained unclean. One of cooks was interviewing someone? More people came in. Four guys decided to avoid waiting any longer and left.. one of the counter waitresses cleaned off a table. Someone sat at the cleaned table. Finally the cook finished with the interview and that end of the counter opened up and customers filled it in...I received my gravy and biscuits and finished it, then my eggs came and without the bacon. My wife's breakfast did not arrive. I asked for the bacon and it came. Finished half my eggs and bacon, then my wife's breakfast came. The food was very good. The second cook engaged and the last table was cleaned off..immediately someone sit there. Enough said....finally with two cooks they began to catch up. Not sure customer service was being handled well. Suggest not interviewing people during a rush, or else make the decision to end the interview if...

My husband and I arrived for a quick meal, as we really enjoy dining at Waffle House. When we arrived we sat down and immediately noticed that the table was very sticky and dirty. The wait staff came to the table and promptly took our order. My husband ordered a cheeseburger and double hash browns. The hashbrowns were over cooked. He ordered his hashbrowns topped (the wait staff brought our food out and there was no chili on the hash browns. The wait staff came over and asked if he would like the chili. My husband explained that since we would be charged for the chili that he's he'd like the chili. I ordered the Texas bacon cheesesteak and hashbrowns. My sandwich was brought to me all falling g apart really in a pile on my plate. I had to actually put my sandwich together myself. This is very upsetting as my husband and I usually enjoy our trips to waffle house. This location seems to have poor wait staff, dirty tables and dirty in general throughout the building from what I could see. I do not think we will be back to...
