2024 Update: Still awesome! Favorites i recommend- Coffee- balanced, HOT, and automatically refilled every 30 seconds or so. Sometimes i stop in JUST for coffee it's so good. Soups- all of them. I've never seen Grandma there, but you can tell she made these. They must keep her pretty busy in the back. Tzatziki sauce - super thick, creamy, and full of flavor. Grilled chicken- whether on a salad or gyro- the marinade is soo good Greek Salad- these come with pickled beets, which i consider the king of beets. Especially wonderful with their creamy PINK Greek dressing- out of this world delicious Fish & Chips- thick pieces of flakey fish, well seasoned batter, never served in a pool of grease like other places. ---‐----------------- I really love this place. Honestly, I'd rather eat here than anywhere else in south lyon.

Their food is consistently fresh, and their recipes are unique, much above the bland food I've come to expect of other diners.

The service is great too. They keep your coffee cup hot and full and are SUPER quick. The kitchen is shockingly fast too. 2 customized omlettes on the table 5 minutes after ordering. Wow.

The team of waitresses is also phenomenal. You won't find any young girls in training to mess up your order or dilly-dally gossiping in the corner.

These ladies are mature, efficient and super friendly. It's like a whole team of moms. The whole staff feels like a family and always appears cheerful and happy to be at work.

This place is also super clean. Their busser is Superman level. Most of the time my table is bussed, cleaned and ready for the next customer before I've even finished paying my check at the register.

Finding all these things in one place is rare....

Recently tried to eat on a Sunday close to their closing time. Cell phone said 2:43pm as I tried the locked door. Basically stood there pointing to my watch until they opened the door... one wait staff was nice (the woman who served us; she got a nice tip,) but the others standing around the counter and sitting in the first booth all glared at us and a couple of them even tried to make a point looking at the wall clock. We were in and out of there in less than 20 minutes. We live close by and have generally liked the place over the years. THIS same type of treatment has happened twice in the last few times we’ve gone there. And that is twice too many of course. I’d suggest to Lucas’ owner (who we know would not like this behavior of closing early if he knew it was going on,) that he instruct his workers: If the close time on the front door says 2:43pm, then it’s okay to lock the door. But as it says 3:00, you need to treat your customers as any other good business does, and that is to serve them till the time of closing. ALSO, If the neon signs in the windows say “OPEN” on the outside (which they both did,) then it’s not okay to lock the doors. For decent food at a cost that is higher than most coney places in the area, I hope that the owner reads this review. Otherwise, some of your better customers are going to...

I'd like to give 3 and 1/2 but it doesn't give me that choice here on this review. I called for a carry-out order and it was ready on time. The food was pretty basic except for the salad which was very good. But it's hard to mess up salad! I don't think I've ever been to a restaurant that screwed up a salad.

Other choices were just average. In fact this was two weeks ago and I don't even recall anything else I ordered! That means it wasn't memorable except I recall feeling slightly disappointed with the quality. It was about the quality of fast food but should be better as a diner and dine in place. I wish I could be more detailed but again the food doesn't stand out in my memory.

The man who seemed to be probably a manager was helpful: I missed the correct driveway and had to park next door. I tried to get in a front door which was locked from the outside. As I was leaving he mentioned that I could exit through that same door, it was only closed from the outside. That was nice and helpful of him!

Simply because he was kind to me I would order here again but make different choices if I recall what I got before. Check out more items before giving an overall review...
