Here’s an idea for you: if you sell a 7.99 sandwich for BOGO on Uber eats, don’t blame the customer for ordering it when you’re not able to fulfill the order. Additionally, don’t rudely hang up on the customer twice when trying to see what options you can change the order for now that the order has already been paid.
Here in America, We have what’s called customer service, and professional courtesy, where you as the establishment take responsibility for making an error on your end - Instead of blaming me for getting the deal which you offered.
To sum it up - If you make the mistake of not being able to fulfill a deal that you sold, The least you can do is make it up to the customer by offering a similar deal at the same price (Honestly, even if it’s a couple dollars extra that goes a long way). Don’t be cheap with your customers because they’re not gonna wanna come back.
Here’s the story: I ordered Buy one get one sandwich for 799 Asked if they could replace it with a sandwich priced at 999. They said no, and hung up on me encouraging me to cancel the order instead of trying to help me. I called back and said I’m just trying to get the order completed. Can you Honor the Bogo deal with a sandwich of the same exact price - After about 10 minutes of deliberation, they said yes. Then I asked if they would still be able to honor the two pastelitos that I ordered - They said they were out. The moment I asked if they could replace it with a tequeño instead of a guayava pastelito They hung up on me again. Finally, they ended up honoring the deal and the food was absolutely delicious. The problem is the customer service was absolutely terrible. You shouldn’t have to argue to get what you paid for. You also should not be gaslighted into thinking that it’s your fault that you ordered something that they sell online. I’m not upset at the workers. They said this came directly from the manager. so my recommendation to the manager is stop being so damn cheap and if you’re not able to honor a discount, give the customer, some grace and Let them order something similar, even if it’s A couple dollars...
Read moreFor me, this is one of those "I don't get it" places. Hard to imagine why the rating is anywhere near 4 stars. I saw the prices online and I figured it can't hurt to try - well, it did hurt me. First, I had to wait in line for about 30 minutes to get my order. Everything I ordered they got wrong. I ordered 3 ham croquetes, got 3 cheese. Ordered 2 cuban toast with light butter and got 2 with cheese. Finally, 2 cafe con leches which they changed to 2 coladas (without the little cups I may add). I should have checked the order right when I got it, but the place was so full and loud it was suffocating - I ran to my car. Once I saw what I got I walked back and didn't even bother. The line was longer than when I ordered. The young woman that helped me was kind of snooty too, but maybe she was just having a bad day because of the large crowd and the uptight atmosphere - If so, I can't blame her. I tossed the cheese stuff and tried one of the coladas which I ended up tossing as well - bitter as heck. I went to another bakery and got what I wanted and it was right and delicious. I suggest you do the same. I think the Winn Dixie next door has a little cuban cafe - it can't hurt...or maybe it can...
Response to Owner’s Response: First, it’s condescending on your part to say, “This leads us to believe that there may have been a mistake in identifying the location of your visit.” Trust me - there was no mistake. I picked up some items at the GNC a couple doors down from you before so, yeah, I know exactly where I was. Second, the reason your manager can’t recall this is because when I went back to try and resolve the issue, the line was so long and the place was so crowded I did not even bother to go in - as stated in my review. Never, ever throw your shortcomings back on the customer. It says a lot about your company that you did. An appropriate response would not have included the...
Read moreThis wld’ve been a 5 star review all around except that there was a major error in the food I ordered. I ordered “bocaditos franceses”, which, as confirmed with the website where you can place the order (I opted to call the bakery directly instead to place the order) are supposed to be made of ham, cheese, pickle, strawberry jelly, and capped with cream cheese, which I confirmed with the nice lady that took my order by phone and also was the one that took care of me when I picked them up (Milena?). When I got home (I live far, in Kendall), they turned out to be layered Elena Ruz bocaditos on white bread, not the Franceses I was expecting. The beautiful layering and presentation were spot on, however, they had no pickle inside, and the top layer of cream cheese turned out to taste more like cake merengue or frosting (sweet instead of salty), than of cream cheese, like they’re supposed to be. I wld’ve overlooked all that, but the worst part was that they had in them smoked turkey instead of ham. I picked up on the taste right away and when I took them apart, sure enough, turkey instead of ham. They did have the strawberry jelly and the cheese, which helped disguise the turkey taste that I’m not fond of. Since this was for a birthday party and the guests were already arriving, plus I live far, I didn’t take them back, but I was very disappointed. That was supposed to be the food highlight of the party. They weren’t bad, just ok. Otherwise, great, friendly service, reasonable prices, clean place, and loved their...
