Cafe X2O — Restaurant in South Pasadena

My wife took me to this Mediterranean restaurant in South Pasadena nearby her work that she and her friends always go there for lunch. My wife was telling they love including herself she say the food is really good. We came to the restaurant at the right time it was lunch time and they have a lunch special deal. My wife order the falafel plate and I got the chicken kabobs and you pick your sides.

It took about 20 minutes to have our meal ready everything in the restaurant is made from scratch and made to order. My meal comes with chicken kabobs,rice and garlic spread as my side and also including pita bread. The chicken kabobs were very tender and juicy and full of flavor that I really enjoy and the rice was incredible good and fluffy that I really like. The garlic spread was very good I use on the Chicken and the rice it more flavor then I on the pita bread so good. The side was very good. My wife enjoy her falafel very much that's her favorite she say the falafel have tons of flavors and she give a piece of falafel wow it was so good I enjoy it.

Then she enjoy the hummus including the salad. Being my first time at Cafe X20 the food was incredible food. I told my wife we need to come back again to try...

This place just opened and one of my strong suits is identifying good Lebanese or Mediterranean food, well because I am Lebanese. I decided to try it out tonight.

I ordered Falafel sandwich Lamb Kebab Sandwich 2 sides: Hummus and Baba Ghanouj

It was all fantastic authentic and very legit. Very close to the real thing in Lebanon. Maybe because the owner is Lebanese. I asked the guy on the register about it.

The falafel sandwich had the tomatoes like it should to make it juicy and let the juices mix with the tahini sauce. The falafels themselves also had the right consistency and flavor. The lamb Kebab was great too. Pink on the inside.

The way the sandwiches are wrapped is well thought of as well. Open the wrapper and grab the sandwich and the bottom is already in another wrapper and ready to be eaten. Smart and very Lebanese.

Hummus is big for me and this hummus delivered far and beyond as well as the baba ghannouj.

The prices also were very on point. Well thought of and affordable.

You bet I will be going there a lot more. The people working there are friendly and happy to answer questions.

I ordered the salmon plate over the phone for takeout on September 22, 2024. Unfortunately, the salmon seemed a bit undercooked and very fatty. It had a texture like jelly when I tried to eat most of it. I tried to make myself eat it, but I mostly felt like gagging. In addition, the pita bread and hummus did not taste that good. I could not make myself eat it.

I contacted the cafe and told them what happened and that I was too far away to make it back the same day but, that I could bring the food back the next day, on September 23, 2024. I was told that I did not have to return the food for a refund and that I should see it in my account within 3-5 business days. Hopefully, that is true, and I will receive a refund soon.

I was able to contact the manager to get it resolved. He was nice, receptive, and willing to ensure that I had a better experience. The food was better this...
