Winchell's Donut House — Restaurant in South Pasadena

So the donuts and other baked good ARE GOOD. Place looks clean. Just the night shift guy starts out with a weird "I don't want to help you, I don't want you here, you're disturbing me" vibe. We waited for him to come to the front to greet us. The bell rang when we entered. He never came out until I walked around the counter and said, "hi," and, "we're ready to order 🙂." He said in Spanish, "ok I'll be there." Dude was making donuts and CONTINUED to make them instead of stopping and taking our order. Like we waited, and waited, and waited. I had to go back to look at him like, "are you for real?" There was no other customer and no other worker. He's not friendly at the beginning. I think he's just bitter. We tried changing his vibe and it worked, he became more friendly. But just a fyi he comes off with a "leave me alone"...

Came in at 1am. I know it’s late but the guy working the night shift was really rude. He rolled his eyes when I asked for a dozen donuts. I get it’s late but you’re open 24 hours. I work the graveyard shift at a warehouse so I’m always up this late. Super disappointed but I ignored it and stayed friendly. Don’t think I’ll be back at night. I’m sure the mornings are alot better with someone...

I like this place but the guy that works here in the night shift during the week needs a raise or something. Maybe that will help his nasty attitude, I mean I get it he’s alone and I’m sure he has things to get ready but dang. It’s such an unpleasant atmosphere coming in and even asking for more than one item is such a drag for him. Just...
