Alessandro’s is on the main strip in old town. Alessandro showed us around and introduced us to his delicacies. It was obvious that he loved his Northen Italian heritage. He uses several of this grandmother’s recipes. His love for this small town and his passion for high quality baked goods is quite evident. There is a small indoor seating area for you to enjoy your treats. He carries a nice variety of baked goods as well as other specialty items such as: cinnamon whipped honey, local organic honey, homemade dog treats, dark chocolate covered espresso beans, and cotton candy!

What a delightful, memorable visit! My husband is of Italian heritage so we wanted to see what Alessandro’s had to offer. As we talked the subject came up regarding where they each were from in Italy. Alessandro said, “in the north”. I said my husband’s family was from Udine. An incredulous look came over Alessandro’s face! He said that’s where HE is from. (Who has ever heard of Udine??) Before we left we bought mini cannolis, lemoncello cake and fig biscotti. All delicious!

What a truly lovely experience! Upon walking in we were greeted by the friendliest owners Dan and Alice. Dan gave us wonderful treatment teaching us how they homemake every cake and pastry in their store. We throughly enjoyed our private taste testing tour through Italy and learning so much! So glad we decided to stop in! We will definitely come back again! I highly recommend their piece of Italy in Tennessee!

Lovely little piece of Italy in southern Tennessee! Dan was incredibly welcoming and took the time to get to know us and to introduce all the items in the shop. He listened to our preferences and made recommendations based on what we liked and disliked. We even connected over having Yorkies (had to show photos)! We left with close to $80 worth of baked goods (including some treats for the dog!). While we haven't made it through everything just yet, I can personally speak for the limoncello bites, the gingerbread men, and the tiramisu. My mom said the Italian cream cake was lovely. I'm excited to try the della Nonna and shortcrust biscotti soon! Thank you for your hospitality, Dan. Here's to many years of Alessandro's in...

If you live in South Pittsburg, TN (or really anywhere near here) and you love sweets, you should really visit this place. The food is authentic and so clean, with herbs and spices. The combination of flavors is just amazing. It’s run by an actual Italian man and his wife. He really takes time to explain what everything is and what makes it good as well as give out free samples of some of the items. He’s a true artist and the whole experience is so charming as well as delicious! My favorites so far are the tiramisu and the hummus, but I wish I could...
