Authentic Mexican restaurant. You will have options with tripe, beef tongue, pork, chicken, steak, fish, shrimp, goat etc. Also salads, soups, appetizers and deserts. They offer soft drinks and Mexican favorites. It's BYOB so you have that option. They do have a takeout option with customers coming in throughout your stay. Your basket of chips and salsa is on the house. We order the basic cheese quesadilla for appetizer. Our entree was the grilled steak and chicken with rice and beans. They were thin and cooked well for my wife. I had the steak fajitas. The steak was cut thin with pepper and onions on a sizzling hot iron plate we with flour tortillas, refried beans and rice. I would recommend thicker cut of steak because the hot plate over cooks the steak to well done. Every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday they offerlive entertainment. Also, if you pay cash you get a 20% discount on food only not drinks. They have their own parking lot. It's worth a trip to try it out especially when there is live entertainment. Good place to bring your children. Last service is good and attentive.

If your looking for authentic Mexican food, this is the place to go. Chips with 2 types of salsa were brought to the table after we were seated. This is a BYOB establishment and we brought along some sangria. Two glases with ice on the side were brought promptly. We started with the garlic shrimp and guacamole. The shrimp were done to perfection and the guacamole was very tasty. Both of us had chicken enchiladas. One salsa verd style, the other with a mole sauce. I did not tast the mole. However, my friend said it had a nice balance of flavors. The rice and beans were plan and simple sides served with the main meal. The servers checked on us several times with every request attended to promptly with a smile. Between the two of us we could not finish everything. A desert menu was offered and the flan looked tempting. Perhaps another time as I will definitely be back. This is not an upscale place. However, it is warm, friendly and the food was very tasty. Don't miss this gem easily passed on a busy road.

I love eating at local mom and pop restaurants so I was excited to try this based on all the positive reviews. Pros: The vibe and ambiance of the restaurant is nice. There's a definitely a welcoming atmosphere. Plenty of parking as well. Service was decent and they serve chips and sauce. Cons: The food was just ok. The chicken fajita was on the slight saltier side. Nit as much chicken as I expected. There was a dead bug in my water but the server was happy to change it. The portion size vs price was skewed a bit. I've been to other Mexican restaurants with more generous portions and cheaper prices and better flavor. The guacamole was also very small. The bowl seems big but it is actually very shallow. There also seems to be quite a lot of nickle and diming when reading the menu. I won't be back to this restaurant but I am glad to have tried it.

The food was good. But that's all that was good. But don't expect a good deal. The menu made me feel like spirit airlines. Want a second basket of their stale chips? $2. Want a second salsa? $2.50. Want that salsa to be spicy? Well that's$3. Want a special? Well I hope money is no object bc they don't even list the prices on the menu.

The service was bad. Ordered guacamole and it never came. Said something to the waitress after the meal came that it better not be in the check and sure enough it was on the check. After the meal we had to ask 3 times for the check. What's really considering is that the check said if you pay in cash the meal is 10% off... But then the bill only showed full price or a credit card surcharge. No where did it show a 10% discount. Were we to just short the bill 10% and walk away? When we asked for change that came out to$12 they brought 2 singles and a ten... Made it real difficult to leave a proper tip with such big bills... Almost like that's on purpose.

The tables are way too small and are way too close. A party of 2 with 2 plates barely could fit comfortably.

Came in on a Saturday with multiple options for sports for the 5 tvs they have in the place... Each tv had the exact same thing on.... Some MLS game no one was watching. But even if they were watching, tough luck bc at about 730 a dj started to play music that's more fitting for a club or party and spent twenty minutes trying to figure out how to use his computer on the TV sets to stream the music videos for the songs he was playing against a background of a real dj setup.

I might consider getting takeout since the food did taste good but I'll never sit at a table...

I am typically not one to write a negative review, but due to my latest visit to Casa Romero I felt the need to. I have visited this restaurant once before, the food was decent and the atmosphere was lively. This was not at all the experience I had this time. We were greeted and sat by the host who was the nicest employee we interacted with. Once we were seated it took a while for our server to come over and take our drink and food order. Typically I would not mind, however there were only 2 other parties in the restaurant and we other several servers standing around chatting. We placed our order and waited for our food, and at this point we had not been given chips or salsa either. We were then brought chips and salsa and a little while after, our food came out, however both of our orders were incorrect. Our orders were then corrected and we asked for the bill. As I was eating the chips, one of the other servers came over and cleared the table, taking the chips as well. We were not checked on once after the food was brought out. I do not mind having to wait or mistakenly getting our order wrong- I’ve worked in the food service industry for years, I understand that things happen sometimes- however the accumulation of all of these events did not sit right with me. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone, there are other business that will have better food and...

Coming from Socal, I take my Mexican food VERY seriously and this place just slaps every time (dare.I say the best Mexican I've had so far??). Perfectly seasoned and flavorful dishes that are very well portioned. A burrito here is well worth its price in size alone, not to mention packed full of meat. Tacos are one of my favorite things to order. The tortillas are sturdy and don't rip or get too soggy even when it's deliciously drenched in lime and salsa. It's also hard to find places that sell uncommon meats such as lengua, tripa, and cabeza, let alone do it well, and their's is chef's kiss. Beans and rice are good, nothing special but tasty nonetheless. I also enjoy the birria consome very much. Churros are also good but not mind-blowing. Complimentary chips and salsa roja if you dine in. Lunch tends to be a quieter crowd while dinners are more lively. To-go is carefully made to survive the drive, and the system is great since it texts updates to when your order is ready for pickup. Some reviewers mention the steak skillet dishes smoking up the place when you dine-in, to which I'll say - you're already going to have taco fingers and onion breath; what's a little smokiness in your hair and clothes at that point to round out the...
