I actually had these delivered for my bday each year I have something from outside my living area delivered so I can try it. this year its whoopie pies which are hard to find where I live but I do enjoy them. overall the cakes were fresh nothing taste stale or old. with cake it just a preference whether you like the combination the type of chocalate they use the amount of sweetness it may have etc. I got a 12 pack of 4 flavors my ratings are
Maine-iac – Decadent chocolate cakes filled with vanilla cream. B-. im didnt care for the chocalate which i believe is dark chocalate always leaves an unpleasant taste in my mouth but the cake itself was moist. just not for me
Britt’s Fav – Decadent chocolate cakes filled with dark chocolate cream. C. my least favorite. I just didnt like the chocalate cream again dark chocalate. I knew this was dark chocalate and I dont like dark chocalate but Im stupid enough to keep trying dark chocalate lol. again the cake was moist and fresh.
Boston Strong – Buttery vanilla cakes filled with fudge and vanilla cream. A definitely my favorite they do vanilla cake very well. moist, sweet like I like it although I didnt taste the fudge that much but when I did, it adds a nice touch to the cream. like vanilla ice cream with chocalate syrup which I love.
Bromance – Chocolate chip vanilla cakes filled with vanilla cream. B+ hey this taste like a chocalate chip cookie with ice cream in the middle. enjoyed very much.
so im 2 for 2 but happy with my purchase. I like the packaging it came in able to share the rest with my coworkers. would definitely try again. the price also wasn't bad. and I read they stay fresh in freezer for...
Read moreI hate leaving bad reviews, but I feel obligated. I ordered one dozen whoopie pies and had them shipped. When they arrived, they were slimy. In my opinion, that is not an edible food and I had to throw them away. I paid $65 for these whoopie pies; that wasn't cheap. I emailed the owner (Marcia) and she promptly replied that she had never had a complaint like this before. She continued to tell me the whoopie pies are baked, filled and immediately frozen. They then place frozen whoopie pies into a box and ship them off. Likely, since the whoopie pies were sealed in plastic and packed in a box, the condensation of them thawing caused them to be slimy. Marcia said the best she could do is offer me 10% off from my next order and even mentioned she knew it was unlikely I would order again. I wish I had read reviews prior to ordering because a lot of people have been dissatisfied with the product and it appears Marcia never does the right thing by the customer. I cannot speak for the product in the store, but I assume those have all been previously frozen, as well. I'd be cautious and if you are looking for shipping, go with a more successful company like...
Read moreTerrible. I agree with last reviewer. I usually don’t bother to leave reviews but this was really disappointing. My wife and I were really excited about it. But turns out this taste no different than the supermarket ones. In fact it’s worse. We were expecting for fresh ones. But the store explained that everything is frozen only. Not fresh. Mass packaged. Don’t go!
Update: While I appreciate the owners response. It also strikes me that maybe they should listen to the customers rather than arguing against them.
I can see there are other customers who are trying to provide honest feedback. I want the customers’ voice to be fully heard and I will not stop updating the feedback until the feedback are appreciated instead of argued against.
I really wanted to like them but it was just very disappointing. I think there is significant room for improvements on how they package and present their Whoopie pies. They just look so mass produced. Also the store front staff needs better training on explaining their products instead of just saying all they have are frozen ones and here’s one for...
