This review reflects a personal experience as a Consumer and Chef.

Overall Impression: We received a recommendation for a new establishment in the Dulles Landing area. Our initial attempt to visit on July 1st was unsuccessful as it was closed. However, we were able to visit yesterday and confirmed its presence in the area.

Highlights: Welcome & Management: 10/10 Waiter: 10/10 (Excellent guest service) Homemade Margaritas: 10/10 (excellent, one of the best)

Food: Chips and Salsa: 10/10 (the salsa was a bit spicy) (good) ​​Agua Chile Camarones: 8/10 (good, just lacked a little seasoning) Carne y pollo asado: 8/10 (it was good, the marinade was a bit strong) Birria Tacos: 8/10 (too much cheese inside the taco for my taste, good flavor)

I think and believe that their food is very good. It's worth going to try it. The place is new, the decor is very nice, and the staff is very good. Unfortunately, very dissatisfied!!! When I first walked in with my family, the atmosphere was great. I assumed it would be an enjoyable evening. 5 minutes in, after attempting to enjoy chips and salsa, I find hair in my salsa!! I let my server know, and I was given such a mediocre reaction. She walked away, tried to offer me another bowl of salsa but I couldn’t get the hair out of my mind. I end up ordering my food, as well the rest of my family. Then 40 MINUTES LATER… my server comes back and says one of the plates of food we ordered was no longer available. The manager didn’t even come talk to us until we had to ask for him. He ended up offering to get us a new plate. After a big hesitation, we decided to order a plate of the carne asada, but also very specifically asked for it well done. I mean that’s the least they could do. It came out quickly, so we were hoping to at least be able to dig in to that. Unfortunately, I cut into my steak and it was extremely pink with red oozing out. 5 Stars — Excellent Experience at Plaza Mexico!

My wife and I had an outstanding dinner at Plaza Mexico in Sterling (Dulles Landing). From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly and seated immediately. The customer service was excellent — attentive, friendly, and fast without ever feeling rushed.

Our food came out impressively quick, piping hot, and absolutely fresh. We shared the Parrillada — an incredible combination of grilled rib-eye steak, chicken, shrimp, and Mexican sausage, all cooked with peppers, onions, and tomatoes on a traditional comal and topped with melted cheese and a jalapeño. It was served with rice, beans, guacamole salad, and sour cream.

Not only was it more than enough for two people, but the presentation and flavor were unique — unlike anything we’ve found at other local spots. It truly stood out as a delicious and authentic meal that we’ll be back for again and again.
