My friend and I went there for his Birthday. Unknowingly we showed up at 6:55pm when they close at 7pm 😲 The lady at the counter that greeted us, was SO NICE! Welcomed us to stay and eat, even after we insisted on leaving because it was so close to closing time. I had the Birria burro. It was delicious!! Best birria I’ve had yet. We didn’t ask, but she was awesome and brought us over a plate full of radish, pickled onions, pico de gallo and cucumber along w/ a couple of salsas, clearly after they had cleaned up their salsa bar. Amazing food and terrific customer service. I’ll definitely be back, like tomorrow! (And NOT around closing time...

Each were marinated and cooked with precision resulting in decadent meats that each had the distinct texture you’d want from them. Adobada had the crispy bits, the chicharrón was chewy and sauced perfectly, the lengua was tender and had the bite I was looking for. Salsa bar had everything you’d want as well, cilantro and onion, limes, pickle red onion, cucumber, radish, an array of salsas, some of which will make you sweat. Pleasantly surprised at how good it was. I’ll definitely be back...
Read moreI heard about this place so, I had to try it out. Taqueria El Rapids is located in Tucson, AZ. The tacos are good. However, they don't make their own tortillas like some Taquerias do. They use two big corn tortillas for such a small taco. Depending what taco you want each taco is $3.50 a taco. Pretty pricey if you asked me. I had two of the tripas, two cabeza, two of berria and a coke. They offer a salsa bar. I was impressed they have a veries of salsas. I give four stars. Place does get packed. If you are out visiting Tucson. Make a stop at the...
