Pepper 1 — Restaurant in South Valley

This restaurant has only been open 3 weeks, so they have some opening snags, but they are on their way to being one of those diamonds in the far south valley of Albuquerque. Don't get too caught up in the plethora of misspellings on the menu! Its part of the charm! The owner, Jiao could not have been more gracious. I asked her if they could make a special roll that I used to get at my favorite sushi restaurant that unfortunately is no longer open. She said that the menu was just a suggestion, and that they would be willing to make anything I could come up with as long as they had the ingredients. Pepper 1 was absolutely amazing. It’s probably one of the best places in Albuquerque for sushi and curry. The customer service was perfect and everyone there was so kind and welcoming. The menu has so many great options and the sushi was incredibly fresh and beautifully made. Our server told us the chef has been in the sushi business for over 13 years, and it really shows. I myself ordered the Szechuan Pork with steamed rice and a side of Egg drop soup. The Szechuan sauce was great and the vegetables were cooked perfect. Rice was great and soup was great.

My lady got the green curry with chicken and drunken noodles which had chicken as well she said that she loved it and it was delicious we will definitely be returning customers cannot wait to eat inside.
