Scoops of Hope — Restaurant in Southbridge

We stopped by Scoops of Hope for lunch and ice cream today on our way through Sturbridge and were not disappointed. It was a little out of our way, but was well worth the detour.

We tried two of the grill cheese varieties and they were both excellent. The crispy chicken salad was very good, too-- it actually had real spring mix lettuce. The fries were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, as they should be.

We also highly recommend the ice cream. The 2 cookie sandwich menu item was actually 2 full ice cream cookie sandwiches, which was a great value. The root beer float was also quite enjoyable!

The service was excellent and the prices were reasonable (and tipping was built in to the price). We highly recommend stopping by if you get a chance, even it it's not on your way. We will the next time we're...

Scoops of Hope is a division of the Center of Hope Foundation that provides employment for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Alongside that, the ice cream here is delicious and creamy. Every flavor is made from scratch (with the exception of the toppings), and they don’t use any premixes, preservatives, or artificial stabilizers.

I spoke with the assistant manager, who said they are slowly starting to introduce food (hot dogs, grilled cheese), but the obvious attraction is the ice cream.

For a new place, it's off to a great start! It's a small building but there is a lot of outdoor seating.

The menu is limited but great! I got the minutemen grilled cheese without bacon and it was delicious. I also got mint chip ice cream and it's the best I've had in ages!

Not ideal for vegans (which is to be expected!), but many options for vegetarians.
