Lake Wine and Spirits has one of the largest beer fridges in the area and very reasonable prices. The owner Jeff is very mindful of which beers he stocks, always trying to mix a selection of local CT beers with very popular micros and very popular macros. If you want Bud Light or Founders Centennial IPA, you can find either here. He also has a pretty good selection of single bottles.
The staff is very friendly and courteous. They taste a lot of stuff and offer tasting notes and often pick out cheap stuff that is really good and put it on display or on sale. They love to help customers, especially with picking wines. There is a lot of wine. I can't imagine you coming to this store looking for wine and not finding something you want. If you like Scotch, Whisky, and Burbon, there is a decent selection of that as well.
