Beefeaters — Restaurant in Southern Pines

We recently relocated to Pinehurst and had the pleasure of experiencing Beefeaters, a true gem in the heart of our new neighborhood. We were blown away by the exceptional service provided by Will Faircloth, the owner himself, who went above and beyond to ensure our satisfaction. Even though we couldn't dine in person just yet, Will personally delivered our order to our home, making us feel incredibly welcomed.

As we eagerly opened our meal, we were greeted with a delightful spreadable cheddar cheese appetizer served with crackers that set the stage for what was to come. The creamy and flavorful cheese was the perfect start to our culinary adventure. But the delightful surprises didn't end there. The side salads and freshly baked rolls provided a fresh and vibrant complement to our main dishes. The crisp greens were topped with an array of delicious toppings, including olives, cheese, croutons, and more. The salad dressings were simply amazing, elevating the flavors and leaving us craving for more.

Moving on to the main courses, the grilled salmon was cooked to perfection, tender and flaky with a deliciously seasoned crust. The flavors were balanced, and it was clear that the fish was of the highest quality. And let's not forget the ribeye steak sandwich which my husband throughly enjoyed—it was a carnivore's dream! The juicy, succulent steak paired with the accompanying bread and toppings served with Beefeater potato wedges created a delightful symphony of flavors.

While we thoroughly enjoyed our meal at home, we're already counting down the days until we can visit Beefeaters in person. We can't wait to savor their delectable dishes in the charming atmosphere they're known for, surrounded by the warm hospitality of Will and his dedicated staff.

We had dinner at Beefeaters last night and made reservations prior to our visit. Our reservation was for 6 but we arrived early and we were seated by a very friendly hostess as soon as we checked in. We were seated at 5:40 pm and the dining room was almost empty. It took 10 minutes for the waitress to actually come to the table to ask what we would like to drink. We got our drinks about 10 minutes later. We were ready to order at that point but our waitress said that she was busy and would be back to get our order. We waited an additional 15 minutes for the waitress to come back to take our order. (She only had one other table and they were waiting on someone else for their party so they were not ready to order). We finally placed our order and waited for the bread/cheese/butter/crackers but she never brought them. I waited about 10 more minutes and had to motion for her to come over to let her know that we did not get them. She did get those for us immediately. We got our food 15 minutes later and we needed additional condiments after she delivered the plates but the sides were on different plates. I was trying to let her know that we needed additional items but she would not listen. She told me to wait because she was getting our plates. She came back with 2 small plates on a big tray and then I had to tell her the additional items we needed. We then had to wait an additional 5 minutes for her to get steak sauce and butter. After that, she did not come back to our table. After we finished our food we needed a to go box and our check. Since we did not see her we had to stop the owner as he was walking by to ask him to bring the box and check. She finally came back over to bring back the credit card and receipt to sign. After spending close to $85 on food for 2 people, the service should have been extraordinary but it was everything but that. This used to be my favorite place to eat in Moore County and my fiance had never been before so I suggested it. We didn’t leave the restaurant until 7:10 due to all of the waiting for the waitress to return. The food was great but the service definitely was not. We will not be going back again any time soon. Beefeaters is the epitome of quality dining! It’s a locals’ favorite; in fact, we have been going to Beefeaters for over 20 years as a family! Now, every December, my husband helps plan his fire department’s Christmas party, and he relies on Beefeaters to serve as the venue annually because Beefeaters and its staff go above and beyond! Beefeaters always surpasses our expectations by providing the department with its own private space, comfortable seating, clean & welcoming atmosphere, and service that is prompt, organized, and considerate. This year, our party included approximately 60 of us as we celebrated Eagle Springs Fire Department’s accomplishments! 60 of us! Upon arrival, drink orders were taken immediately, bread arrived to the tables fresh and hot, and entree orders were taken. Shortly after, clear directions were given by Hallie so each table knew when to go to the famous salad bar and in what order entrees would be served. Full pitchers of water and tea were also placed on each table to ensure everyone would be able to keep their glasses full. Drinks stayed filled, the salad bar was perfect, meals were served hot, delicious & in order, and the servers were polite, welcoming & patient even though some of us lingered well passed closing time.
