I just moved to the area and have been having a little tour of the Pines area for a good coffee shop and let me tell you…this is it.
If happiness could be brewed, it would taste exactly like the coffee at Maisonette. Smooth, bold, and somehow comforting—like a warm hug from someone who also knows how to pull the perfect espresso shot.
But let’s talk food. I stumbled upon their sausage roll, and honestly, it was so good I almost started a slow clap in the middle of the shop. Flaky pastry, savory filling—it deserves its own fan club.
And then came the birthday cake cookie. I don’t even like sharing cookies, but this one? This is the best birthday cake cookie I’ve ever had in my life. I lived in Europe for 6 years and can attest that the quality of Maisonette’s croissants is on par with many French bakeries. I challenge you to find a croissant baker that is better or even comparable in the state. Please reply to this post so I can try to compare.

Read moreTheir coffee is lukewarm. Don’t get a dirty chai because you’re just getting coffee with milk, no flavor whatsoever. They have a full kitchen, but if you get a pastry (doesn’t matter if it’s as soon as they open) it’ll be cold/room temperature. They can’t bother to put it in the microwave. Or if it’s a ham and cheese croissant it’ll be so hard you won’t be able to bite in to it, and yes also cold/room temperature. They have so much potential, they could at least give the option to put your coffee in the microwave as well as the pastries. Staff is so nice and friendly that I keep coming back to see if maybe I was there on an off day. But it has been 5 times.
The overhead lights don’t need to be on the entire time. Takes away from the cozy vibes, maybe some music in...
