The Country Bookshop — Local services in Southern Pines

Visited this cute bookshop today while visiting Southern Pines for a weekend getaway for my birthday. The gentlemen working were friendly and polite. But what I loved most was that the staff wrote their own thoughts, opinions, reviews, of different books on post it notes. Walked out with 6 books because their thought provoking sticky notes made it impossible to resist diving into the stories and feel the way reading those little notes made me feel for even a moment. Was in the area visiting my cousin (Oct. 9, late afternoon). Stopped in because it seemed like a nice selection of books, and I usually try to pick up a small gift for family when traveling! But those in this store definitely weren’t “welcoming” or friendly. Wandered around the store, OTHER patrons were spoken to, asked if they were doing okay or needed help. This place! This is my daughter's second home. She is forever wanting to come here and get a new book. I love the fact that if they don't have a book that they can order it for you.
