Happy's Pizza — Restaurant in Southgate

If you scan through my reviews, I'm more the person who leaves the positive review than who voices the negative. This is that exception. This isn't my first aggravation and dissatisfaction with Happy's Southgate but it'll be the last ...

On a Monday night, from what I've seen, you're looking at over 30 minutes for a carry-out order; even if that carry-out consists of a veggie sub, fries and cheese bread. It's not just that (the time) it's also the overall attitude of employees...

We've gotten a lot of deliveries from Happy's. (on average, they take over an hour) ... they have what my s/o wants though: fried pickles and, if they're out of stock, fried okra. If you go -IN- to the establishment and order fried pickles, they'll say, "we don't have those" ... so, you may say something like, "I could have sworn that I've had them delivered any time" ... now, being that I manage a business first-hand, I'd reply with something like, "yeah, we used to but we don't have them right now" ... in the case of Happy's, you get a stone face; no elaboration. So, you go to, "well, I've gotten fried okra from several Happy's locations, let me get that instead" ... the "customer service representative" says, "we don't have those either and just stares at you, impatiently. No elaboration, again. No, "we have those elsewhere but not here" ... and, when you change your order completely (with no suggestions) you're going to wait a LONG time. I think it was a total of 38 minutes for stuff that (I worked at several pizzerias) takes 6-7 minutes to make: TOPS. Then, you end up with one semi-fresh item and two that are older than hell. I couldn't be more dissatisfied and that's honestly very much against my norm.

I'll never order from Happy's again. That likely doesn't mean anything to them (judging by other, recent bad reviews of them) but I'll briefly state that a minimum of $1000 a year from ME alone will go to places like Andy's. Add to that, my friends. I know a ton of people, as well. I'll be sure to see that they're happy; by ordering...

I RECEIVED MY PIZZA COLD COLD COLD , IT OBVIOUSLY WAS SETTING SOMEWHERE FOR AT LEAST HALF HOUR , AND THE DELIVERY OLDER LADY PULLED UP MUSIC BLASTING , FORGOT TO GIVE ME MY WINGS , WENT BACK TO CAR TOOK HER 15 MIN 15 MIN LOOKING FIR THE WINGS , I THINK THEY SPILLED SO SHE WAS PICKING THEM UP NEVER THE LESS I THREW THE 40 DOLLAR ORDER RIGHT IN THE GARBAGE , I USED TO GET GREAT SERVICE BUT NOT NOW , YOU ALL NEED TO CHECK YOUR DELIVERY PEOPLE , SMELLING LIKE A ANN ARBOR HASH BASH ALSO. YOU LOST THIS CUSTOMER............ A MONTH LATER , IM SORRY I DIDNT REPLY TO YOUR COMMENT , I WASNT LOOKING FOR A FREE PIZZA NOW I DECIDED TO GIVE IT ANOTHER TRY THE GOOD LORD KNOWS IVE NEEDED ANOTHER TRY AT ONE TIME . I REORDERED TODAY AND THE OUT COME WAS TOTALLY DIFFERENT THE WINGS WERE HOT THE PIZZA WAS HOT AND DELICIOUS THE 2 LITER WAS COLD , I JUST THOUGHT I OWED YOU AND THE PUBLIC THE GOOD OUTING I HAD THIS TIME , IM BACK AS A CUSTOMER AND I COULD TELL THE STAFF HAD CHANGED TO YOUR BENEFIT THE DELIVERY YOUNG MAN WAS VERY VERY RESPECTFUL , THANK YOU FOR THE GREAT...

Ordered from here last week and it was fantastic, so good that my wife wanted to get it again this week so we ordered the exact same two pizza's again today. But it was like we ordered from a completely different place. It took about an hour to be delivered, not a big problem but, my pizza had been dropped on its side, you could tell because all the toppings went to one side and half of them were on the side of the box, so one side of the pizza was just bare crust. Neither pizza was cut. I'm not sure what they did to these pizzas but, they were just not good, the crust on both pizzas was really flat and chewy and I think they sat waiting for a long time. My wife's cheese and perperroni had some other kind of cheese on it that was not the same as last week, just overall these pizzas were not even close in appearance and taste to the same pizzas we got last week. I'll give 2 stars just because the pizza last week was so good but today's order was an absolute zero. Probably not rolling the dice on this...
