Vic's will not accomodate larger groups, so we decided to give our business to Baldo's. We chose not to wait for hours because they refuse to give us reservations, even 2 groups of 6 which the moderator confirmed at another point. I was under the impression they do not need new customers because I was told you had an establishedcustimer bsse and have been in business for 30 years when I called. Six of us have never been there. I posted in my group, that they will not accomodate us and probably don't need new customers because of the phone call. We have a team of 10 administrators and moderators for a group of 1,000 people. We come from all back grounds and cities, even some not in Downriver but in surrounding communities. We attend activities together from tours of the Fisher Building, Opera Houses and many other tours, game night, go on biweekly lunchs, boat tours, local and Detroit plays, attend craft and cooking classes, concerts in the park, music bingo, day trips, monthly dinners, and so many other activities. We bring people together making lasting friendships who would have been otherwise isolated for various reasons from raising children, health issues, spouses passing away, friends moving/passing away, or kids living in other states. We give local independent businesses our patronage over larger chains about 85% of the time. We promote the businesses, the experience, and post pictures in the group and our personal pages. One of my team members was working with someone at your restaurant for over a month. The restaurant could have accomodated us with 3 tables of 4, so those of us that have never been, could of had an opportunity to enjoy your restaurant. My husband and I have never even heard of this restaurant. This moderator has been there and wanted to give you our business. Downriver Communities Coming Together has the common goal of bringing people together which we have done for almost two years. I seldom post bad reviews but after Jennifer was sarcastic with me afer I called in good faith to inquire why you would not honor our original reservations, I decided to post a review. I do not want other big groups to waste their time like our moderator did discouraging them from wanting to host other events. I understand you cater to small imitate groups, and do not have the capacity to serve a bigger community group. I, personally, used my platform this way so this does not happen to anyone else. I highly encourage you to leave that on your voice message too. I understand that you otherwise have amazing food. I appreciate...
Read moreWe dined here about 2 weeks ago for the first time, and we had a wonderful experience. We've heard good things about Vic's and we're excited to try it out and we were not disappointed! Our server Sherri was excellent; very attentive, kind, and professional.
We were doing a date out of our Adventure Challenge book where we had to write down places we haven't eaten before and choose one at random. Then once we got there we had to ask the server their 2 favorite dishes and get whatever they recommend. Sherri recommended the Filet Marsala and the Pasta Pollo Pepperone. We said, "Okay, we'll take those" and she looked surprised and said, "Wait, really?". We explained to her the date challenge and she seemed to find it amusing as well. Her recommendations were top notch! The pasta pollo pepperone was a nice, light pasta with sautéed peppers and red onion, and chicken with a spicy seasoning. Delicious! Now the Filet Marsala... oh my goodness. SO tender and juicy, and the sauce was absolutely incredible. My mouth is watering just thinking about it.
The salads were not bad, but the dressings were too vinegary for me personally. We did have the appetizer of the cheesy garlic toast... it was VERY good. Now onto the desserts.... HOLY COW. To start, they have a beautiful tray of about 15 different desserts to choose from! We had the eclairs and the blueberry lemon cake. My man really enjoyed the eclairs, and we BOTH were in love with the blueberry lemon cake.
It was a lovely evening and we will definitely be back. Thank you Sherri for your...

On Wednesday May 18th 2022 and out of town friend was visiting and I recommend we go out to Vic’s Casual Dining for supper. We didn’t have reservations, we only had a 5 minute wait to be seated by Vic! The aroma in this restaurant is heavenly and the tables and floors are very clean. While waiting for our table, Jenifer at the bar and cash register was very friendly and made us feel welcome. Angie our camera 📷 shy waitress, was very friendly and helpful! Angie started us off with “Homemade Italian Bread” 🍞that was a Real Treat! We both ordered the Lasagna, it was Delicious! I Would Definitely Recommend their Lasagna, it was so G👁👁D and the Italian spices were used to Perfection! The meal was very reasonably priced, proportioned, and Delicious 😋! ♥️♥️👍😋Vic’s is Definitely a Excellent place to eat at a Very Reasonable Price! The staff is Extremely Friendly and Helpful! I Highly Recommend this place!...
