I was craving Mexican food, and I ended up at San Felipe. Upon entering the establishment, it was pretty empty for being 5:30 pm. I waited a few minutes to be seated, but no one assisted me. I walked myself and sat at the bar, and again, no one helped me. I started to look around me and noticed several employees on their break. A few were sitting at the bar having their dinner, and another fellow was on his phone. After looking around for a waiter, I was handed a menu by an employee on break. I ordered a beer and the Carolina Chimichanga. As the food arrived, I snapped a photo as I usually do. I started taking a few bites and was satisfied. On the corner of my eye, I noticed a group of employees in the kitchen looking at me and laughing. I didn't make much of it, and I continued eating. I caught the same group again laughing at second glance, and they quickly dispersed. Their actions made me quite uncomfortable, and I started to think something was wrong with my food. I could not finish my food and decided to ask for the check and leave. Once in my hotel room, I started feeling, you guessed, sick to my stomach. I ended up eating soup and crackers for the rest of Super bowl weekend as I got food poisoning from this establishment. Always trust your gut feeling. If something does not seem right, always walk away. I will never recommend this place to anyone. If you're an intelligent person, you will avoid this place like CoVID

Just really is nearly okay, 11 of us and some enjoyed and some didn't. Used to love this place however seems to have went downhill somewhat. Kids milkshake was like a plastic cup of milk that had been slightly whipped with a fork. Two meals came out about 10 minutes behind the other nine meals. Fries were soggy and limp. Margareta was some home made orange concoction. Had to wait on refills for Pepsi, sat with empty glass for about 10 minutes. Couple of the plates came out really nice and if you are looking for a quick service with a smaller table of maybe 6 or less them this would probably be a better place to go, however it was not that busy and seemed like a lot of staff were waiting about at the door in anticipation of more people coming in rather than focusing on the customers already in the restaurant.

Hands down the BEST Mexican Restaurant I’ve been to! Can’t even find one in Florida that comes close to! I wish I could take them back to Florida with me!!! Last week my husband and I ate here 2 days in a row and the 2 day ordered dinner to go! The Chilie Rellenos are house made! I love Cilantro so mines covered in it lol The best I’ve ever had, and I’m always looking for good fresh Chili Rellenos! The drink we delish! Going to miss this place! Got another 2 weeks here so I’m thankful for that!

ROACHES, VERY LARGE ROACHES & LYING, RUDE MANAGEMENT!!! I took my two little boys & beautiful girlfriend there late Friday afternoon after work and we had the most disgusting experience ever inside a restaurant or when eating anywhere period. While our 5 year old son was eating a huge roach crawled right beside him inside our booth. We tried to remain quiet and not alert him but he saw and freaked out & moved his plate next to us but was too worried to eat. We didn't want to be those type of patrons so we tried to remain quiet and not tell anyone (we thought the roach was gone). Then a few minutes later, I felt something crawling over my flip-flop and looked down and it was a roach. We quietly alerting our waiter and he was nice but had to leave it to manager. Manager came by, listen then he went to bathroom, we moved all our entire food, plates & etc. to another table OURSELVES & then manager came to table and finally told us that he'd comp our meals (which I thought was what any restaurant manager would do but without the 5 min hesitation and us moving our plates and food ourselves). Afterwards they were really pushing dessert on us but we didn't want to be the family that could be looked upon as taking advantage of a situation so we politely declined, even the waiter said everything will be comped if we wanted anything but he still handed me the bill. I go to register, where the same manager was collecting monies and he said 34.00 please. I once again Quietly reminded him who I was and what just happened and he replied - yeah, I'm comped you 10% off for that and offered you free dessert but you declined it, so just 10% off bill and that we can't help that, they come from outside. So... they took a whopping 4.00 off our entire meals, made us move our own table & manager flat out lied to our faces!! MMANAGER IS A LIAR, RUDE & THIS RESTAURANT LOCATION HAS A BAD ROACH...

Waiter was completely on top of his game and food came out superfast. Food was average-at-best and probably pre-made cuz it was rather dry and flavorless. My companion had fajitas which were piled high, but was told didn't even taste like there was any fajita seasoning on it and not many peppers or onions but plenty of chicken. I almost always get tacos de carne asada or carnitas. Got the carnitas and although tender the crispy outside was very dry and topped with onions and tomatoes, which I've never seen before and all my travels. It was our first time there and we're new to the area. I'm definitely going to try somewhere else because this rain is about a 5 on a scale of 1 to 10 on the food alone. Lots of families with lots of kids. So they must have a good kids menu or was just tourists at the beach. Place was nice though, not a hole in the wall joint. My companion doesn't drink so I didn't drink either so I can't tell you about the Margaritas cuz I normally get one when I go to Mexican. I also had a piece of which to my knowledge is grilled and this was definitely boiled but...
