Party Time featuring Card$mart — Local services in Southport

Found this store because I googled party supplier near me. Location was very convenient. Walked in and found balloons I needed for my daughters 16th bday party. The man helping me took the balloons and wrote down item numbers for all the balloons I needed. He told me to carry them to the register when I was ready to pay. I decided to go ahead and pay for the items while he was working on filling them up. I ordered 8 small balloons, one medium balloon with confetti and the numbers 1 and 6. The older lady rang me up and my total was 49 dollars. I paid. I went back to where my balloons and he was almost done. He gave me the ones that were done so we could go ahead and load them up. As we were cramming all the balloons into my car, he brought the remainder balloons out to me. I Tha ked him, squeezed my way into my car and was driving away. Suddenly I see the older lader rush to my car and came to the passenger window. I cracked it enough to see what was wrong..She asked me if I had payed her. I was confused because she had just rang me up not even 10 mins ago. I told her yes I paid and that it was 49 dollars. She then said, I didn't charge you for us blowing them up. I was shocked. I asked how much and she told me 10 dollars. I explained that I needed to park, pull the balloons out and grab my purse out of the trunk. After that whole ordeal, I make my way into the store. She looks at me dead in my face and tells me my total is 18 dollars. I told her she had just told me 10 and she said she forgot some other charges but her manager cut me a deal so now my total is 18. I will never... not ever spend another dollar in that store. I don't care if I have to drive across the cape fear Bridge to get...

I was prepared to spend probably $100.00 on party supplies for my Halloween party. I really did not want to drive to Wilmington for personal reasons, so I thought I would help the local store. I walked in, and there was only 1 employee working the store. They were closing in 15 minutes, so I said to her that I needed to get a lot of stuff and I would try to hurry. I was hoping she would offer me help! She never stood up, never asked me if I needed help! I did find some things that I would have purchased, but because of the way she treated me, I left and went to Wilmington. With the recent hurricane, I assume they probably could have used that $100 sale. I like to help local businesses, but I also expect to be appreciated a little bit. I will probably never go...

This store has all types of gifts and party supplies, cards. The ladies are friendly. Products are quality. Something for everyone inside and for outside. Shelves are set up well. Prices are reasonable with some good sale prices. Their cards are nice. They actually carry beach type Christmas boxed cards! Which are nice to send, esp when you are first new living near the ocean. I have purchased items for parties, gifts and cards, as well as some baking items. They have nice supply of colors and special occasion and...
