I've been going to Tropical Smoothie for many years but a number of locations. I have purchased from this particular location about a dozen times since it's opened and the smoothie and sandwich were always spot on perfect. God just a smoothie today, got my regular which is a Chia banana no peanut butter no peach or anything just that she had banana but adding two shots of ginger. It's always really good. This time however it was the most horrible smoothie I've ever had anywhere including other companies! I don't know what was wrong with it or what was left out or went bad or what but it was horrible. It had no taste whatsoever just text her I could barely taste the gingers on thinking maybe only one shot of Ginger was in it and that's okay that happens sometimes. I don't mind that kind of human error but did not taste banana or fig or the other ingredients? And it had a very almost acidic sour aftertaste to it which I've never had at all from any Tropical Smoothies. Like, I can't even begin to figure out what could have gone wrong with this but it was the most disgusting smoothie I've had in my life to the point where I'm hesitant if I will return to that Tropical Smoothie again which makes me very sad because it is only 10 minutes out of the way between my two morning job sites and I look forward to that. The staff member, I think she might be the manager actually, was professional and pleasant as always. Everything else there was great as always but I literally was nauseous for a couple hours at the drinking just a small amount of that smoothie. Read morePlaced at online order for pick up. Website states location is open 7am-9pm. Was able to place my order, and reeived an order confirmation stating my order would be ready for pick up. Upon arrival store was closed, no lights on inside, no one visibly inside, & the open sign was also NOT on. Tried to call, and the number listed on the store’s website kept going to voicemail error message. Went to work, kept trying to call without being able to reach anyone, and never heard from anyone either. Received an email for a survey, completed this survey with all the details of what happened. Shortly after I received a phone call from a Lynn stating she got my email and that she didn’t understand what I was talking about because she had been there since 6:30 and she could prove it. I explained to her that when I went there the open sign was not on and the inside of the building was completely dark. She told me that I never came there and again she could prove it because she had been there since 6:30. I then asked her why she was just calling at 11am from an order she made at 8am. She stated she didn’t see why anyone would call me about an order that was paid for and left sitting for 3 hours. I asked for the number to the corporate office or someone over her and she stated “I don’t know anything about corporate. Which lead me to ask who she was she stated she was the general manager. I then asked for clarification about her being the gender manager and not having any information about corporate or her manager. She then provided a number for her manager. Upon paying and looking at the menu better, I realized I was charged $6+ for a small smoothie. When I asked about the price difference, the same customer service representative said “I don’t know why it does that. It should have added a note to be a 12 ox smoothie.”, I asked what I could do since I was charged nearly double the price for less smoothie, (kids smoothies are 3.99), she said she is not sure. So I asked when a manager worked to speak to and she said I’d have to come back tomorrow. Which I know a manager has to be on duty to have a store open, so one of the two working would have been able to properly handle the situation. I will not be making a special trip down there, but it is unfair for a company to not give customers the correct price on a smoothie.
