I give a 2 star for many reasons. When we got there we was seated not long after walking in. As we was seated the table was not cleaned off and food still on it from people before us. After we got seated that was it for around 30 mins never had someone come up and ask what we was drinking or anything. Once we did get asked it was rushed, two coffees we ordered with extra creamer, the server brings back a big cup full of creamers, not bad but way to much extra creamer, coffee was hot and fresh but cups was not that clean. Then once she gave us coffee she was out like a light. Never to be seen again for a while to take the order. We had been seating for at least 45 mins to the point my girlfriend when up to speak to the asst manager Lisa Wiley, she came right to the table right away and took the order that the server should had done moments before, she got right on it and called over a young man named Brooke got us fresh drinks with easy no problem. Maybe 20 mins for food to get to us and server Linda was never seen again. Asst manager Lisa stepped in and finished our order from start to finish. My food came back wrong but she had it fixed fast. The manger Oni Rogers even came later to check if everything was fine. Total bill was discounted 10% do to poor service on the server part. They did step up and do their best as mangers to get it right. Food was good and service was better once they got it together... But I give a 2 star because in all and all we was there 2 hours for a similar dinner. Very long wait to get serviced to even start the drinks let alone dinner. If ur looking for a fast bite while in the nugget this is for sure not ur place. Not really a 5 star place. I'll think twice before going back again. I can get a club sandwich anyway...

I did not feel welcome at this restaurant. Having recently moved to the neighborhood, I have eaten at Rosie's a number of times. It is always the same. Rosie's is located inside of the Nugget Casino. The funny thing is: all of the white employees whom I have encountered at this restaurant treated me well. They welcome me. They serve me with basic politeness and patience. When they bring my bill, they thank me for coming and wish me a good day.

All of the negative treatment seem to always come from the Indian staff members, who appear to be the new owners of this establishment. They treated me like they would really prefer that I not come to their restaurant. Although no one said anything negative to me, I was denied even the most basic courtesies. In essence, I was treated like I was invisible by the Indian staff members.

At first I was angry because I thought it was racial discrimination, but as I looked at them, I thought, how can that be true; their skin is darker than my own. Then I pondered where they might have immigrated from because wanted to understand their negative attitude towards me. I decided that they most likely they came from India.

It is a well known fact that in India a very rigid caste system is practiced. The people who are born at the bottom of that caste system in India are called Untouchables. Untouchables are considered to be less than human. Although this practice was officially abolished by India , the stigma live on in Indian culture.

Since I had not done anything to deserve their scorn, I concluded that their treatment of me had to come out of their own culture.

Apparently, the Indian staff members at Rosie' café considered me and probably all black Americans to be...

Horrible experience! Very rude employees who huffed and puffed upon our arrival, and acted like we were ruining their night by being there. We just wanted to place an order for to go, as we are staying in the hotel, and have 2 small children. We tried to place the order over the phone and were told we must come down and place it in person. When we went down to place it and we were told we had to wait 20 min and come back to place our to go order. We waited and went back because they were the only place open. We were sent to the back to place our order at a disgusting dirty wet little bar area, where the rudest waitress ever was working. It took another 20 min for her to take our order and she demanded I go pay at the front before I'd recieve the food, acting like I was going to steal it or something. It then took another 30 min for our to go order. I'm a very polite person and the waitress continued to be rude to me. I felt as if I was doing something wrong for even being there. Several things on our order were missing. She demanded to see my receipt to make sure they were on there like I was lying. The menu was very limited. The food was awful. The burger was over cooked, the bun was old and hard. The fries were cold, and the club sandwich was thrown in the box like they hated us, and the cup of soup was not even half full. The attitudes of the 2 women working the front and the woman working the back counter were appalling. Needless to say it was a huge waste of time and money and we will never go back. I had to check 3 times to make sure this was the right place before posting my review, because how anyone could give 5 stars to this place...

Three strikes and you’re out. First strike, I ordered the New York strip sandwich. The bun was rock, solid, hard, resembling the texture of a cracker, and the steak was supposed to be medium rare however it was charcoal on the outside but completely raw in the inside. Luckily, I had already won a lot of money and was already in a good mood so I kept my mouth shut and went to continue to gamble on. The second time I got a simple hamburger with french fries. The burger was practically a piece of charcoal and was overcooked. All you can taste the grill. The french fries were not bad. The third time should count as three strikes by itself alone. I ordered the 12 ounce ribeye steak and the very first steak I cut into right in front of the manager was well done. So she takes it back to the cook 25 minutes later comes back with the new one and tells me that the cook was confident in the new piece of steak. We cut into the middle of it. It was pink. It wasn’t the bright pink for medium rare, but it was pink. By the time I made it up to my room two minutes later, I started cutting into the steak and realized that the whole steak Was only medium. So I called down and they bring up a new steak again for the third time in one night and the new steak looks like it was boiled and you can see the membrane and fat texture as if it was snot or something. The first photo is of the second steak and the second photo is of the third stake and the third photo is of what a medium rare steak is supposed to look like. Overall, the manager was very nice and refunded the money back even though I didn’t want the money back, I just want a good piece of steak cooked, medium rare.

So good, I ate there twice! Jay joined me the second night and we dined in, splitting the patty melt and onion rings. (You know Jay is intent on continuing his decades-long "Patty-Melt Tour of North America.") Rosie's did not disappoint. Jay says, "A proper patty-melt begins with a flavor-rich toasted marbled rye bread that is perfectly thick and heavily buttered. This one had all three elements. The burger in this case was high-quality ground beef, probably sirloin and/or prime rib, cooked precisely as we requested: medium rare, which is hard to get in many restaurants. It also had an ample amount of grilled onions. I prefer mine with mushrooms as well, which this one did not have, and a little more cheese, either Swiss or Provolone. Other than that this was an excellent, excellent patty melt." And I, the onion ring connoisseur, well... They were crispy, greasy, and "biteable" (authentic rings of onions that you can bite apart.) The prior night, I ordered take out for my room, since Jay was in hospital with COVID. The Chicken Parm was still crispy and tasty when I got back to the room, standard sauce and cheese, yummy noodles. Now, to be honest, I have a gag reflex to the strings in green beans. So, I couldn't eat them. But since I expected that, no harm, no foul - that choice was on me. Great restaurant, great service, great food, reasonably priced.
