Where did Chinese food go? When do you have to add soy and oyster sauce at home, when you eat whatever dish. Since when is eggfoo young a scrabbled egg fried flat with vegs on top? Oh, I say veg - canned carrots and peas with a sauce. When did the chinese pork go away? Wide strips? Really? Can't tell the difference between chicken and pork, and wide long strips if beef, really? And only 2 shrimp in the house chow maen? And celery plenty of celery! All this 2nd rate food and the prices are going up all the time! Very disapointed!!! What dishes do I recomend- none maybe egg-drop soup. And don'T ask me about the sushi - their prices are up there and they don't have what is on the menue. Limited on other things for all you can eat. "Can I have squid - no; raw scalaps? No. Mussles - limited, salmon eggs - no. only tuna, and salmon? Some. Need I continue. And you charge the same as other sushi bars where I can get it all? NO
Addition to review: Now eating leftovers. I HAD TO ADD ginger, sesmi oil, soy, another vegetable, mushrooms, oyster sauce, and sprouts to the rice I bought separate as it DID NOT COME WITH the meal! Really - buy it extra!? Yes. Can someone tell them that Chinese food is more than canned carrots and peas with large pices of celery - in all the dishes!! Large slices of meats (where is the bbq pork?) With maybe a little salt and pepper. Sad when you have to take it home to dr it up. My friend from China Town, San Francisco said, "what the...
Read moreWe ordered the Szechuan Chicken combo dinner plate and the Sesame Chicken dinner combo. Both main entrees were very good but I especially liked the Szechuan chicken. The rice that came with that was pretty much average. The meal also comes with choice of egg drop and seet and sour soups. Neither is what we are used to, both were pretty flavorless and can definitely use improvement. We also got an order of the street dumplings, they were very good but nothing to shout about. I live in the neighborhood and never went in to eat, it was so dark and gloomy. Looks like they somehow lightened it up so it's better. I'd always just got their mo shu pork to go. It's the best around that I have found in Reno Sparks. I'm addicted to that dish but challenged myself to something new. Service was outstanding. Went back again today. This time I got the MooShe Pork again. It was delicious (5) as usual. I also decided to try the Hong Kong Noodles for the first time ever. The meats and shrimp were cooked to perfection. The noodles however were as dry as can be and I got an inkling of the sauce I it was delicious. I decided to put them in a bowl so I could add some water or sauce. After I removed the noodles I saw a red sauce I saw on the bottom. I eagerly started to pour and scrap it from the bottom, sad but it was all soaked into the Styrofoam container. I wish they would use the old waxed paper containers of old. The Styrofoam always...
Read moreOK. I have seen many mixed reviews on this place. I wanted to try it for myself...So glad I did. As you can see I am giving 2 stars. 1 star because the beer was cold. 2nd star for fast friendly service... That is all the positives you will see from me. I wanted Sushi. The Sushi was not available. We then ordered from the regular menu. There was 4 in our party. We had Crispy Duck, Chow Mein, Tso Chicken and Chicken Broccoli. The Duck was overcooked, dry, tasteless and tough. I know crispy duck is deep fried and can dry out fast. I have had it many times before from other establishments. This was the worst I have had. All of the other entrees had no flavor, bland, stale two day old rice... Just overall BLAH... Later in the evening 2 out of 4 of us had stomach aches, gas and well, you know, up all night with all the issues that come with the nasty stuff that follows... I would not recommend this diner to anyone. Glad I went in, my curiosity has been satisfied. Needless to say I...
