Went in for supper. 5-29-24 6pm. Young staff was very nice, polite and respectful. We engaged in conversation about how everyone was doing. Older woman was not nice. She was outside when i got there and smoking a cigar as she leaned up on a car. Once she got inside and atepped up to the front, i spoke to her as well. She gave me ugly looks as I spoke to her and asked how she was just as I had asked the younger crew that was preparing my order. I told her about my health and chemo treatment. She didn't respond to me nor did she say anything. Just stared. I smiled at her anyway. I did ask her for a cup of vinegar and oil, which she did hand to me. I thanked her for it. Still just received an ugly stare and no response. She was, however, polite to certain other customers but not all of us customers. I noticed a difference in her attitude. Maybe the owners will notice it too if they watch their video recordings of the staff interactions with all customers. On a positive note, I want to say thank you for the following: The food was incredibly fresh, delicious and prepared correctly as ordered with gloved hands and an acknowledgement of my smiling thank you. I left them a tip at the register because of that. Every food preparation surface was exceptionally clean, so was the drink machine and condiment table. And, including the bathroom. Read moreI Spoke to the manager about my order. She told me she could see my ticket from the app and knows for certain that my TWO salads were prepared incorrectly. I explained that I lived over 30 mins away and had purchased the salads on my lunch break ( i work in spartanburg) for my family for supper after work. The bag was tied and I did not bother to open them until I got home. I have never had an issue with Substation before as I visit quite frequently on my lunch breaks so I didnt anticipate my order being so wrong! I was very disappointed and I called today to speak to someone about it. The lady on the phone tells me she understands and knows that this error occured but that the manager over her was not willing to do anything about it since I did not have the salads in my possession. Who in the world will travel back to work with salads? Even though I do love sub station they will not be getting mine or my coworkere business any further. Read moreIt sure what is going on with Sub Station ll but this was by far the worst sub I have ever gotten from them .,The oil and vinegar is what makes their subs stand out front of the other places , now they have watered down their vinegar the meat had a sour taste the bread was old. Then I called them to tell them about the problem and the lady that handling the issue tells me that it wasn’t watered down it was the same as always, well I hate to tell her you never argue with the customer… I have been going to Sub Stations II all my life and love their #19 I think I know it the sub wasn’t the same quality as I have always got , but what do I know I was just the person that drove 25min. one way to get the nastiest sub of my life.
