Zaxbys Chicken Fingers & Buffalo Wings — Restaurant in Spartanburg

Updated review: The district manager reached out to make my former experience right, so I went in tonight for a retest of this location's capabilities, and I must say, I was impressed on every level.

The restaurant was super clean. I saw employees emptying trash, washing windows, serving customers... Everything was operating like a well-oiled machine!

I was greeted by at least 2 employees who wanted to make sure I was taken care of. The Manager, Zach, could not have been friendlier or more accommodating. The employees all looked professional and happy to be there. That is the telltale sign of a good operation: the morale of the staff.

The Avocado Chicken tacos were great. They really hit the spot and were very satisfying. Will certainly make Zaxbys a more regular spot in my restaurant rotation!

Former review: I kept seeing the commercials for these delicious looking chicken tacos at Zaxbys. So today I decided to try them! I haven't been to Zaxbys in probably 3 years, and probably only a few times in my entire life. But ordered on the app. Very easy intuitive app ordering experience. But when I went to pick them up, I must have waited for 20 minutes, even though there were only a few customers there. The girl who brought them out (eventually) was very friendly.... and that's where the positive stops.

My first inkling that I wasn't going to be getting a good value for my money was how light the bag was. It was like there was almost nothing there. Getting these 3 tacos home, I was super disappointed to see how slip shod these were thrown together and with virtually no fillings. They looked NOTHING like the commercial. It looked like cheap junk. I even paid to have extra tomatoes on them. There was one small chicken tender in each one, barely any lettuce, and barely any tomato pieces. To make matters worse, the chicken was tough and dry.

I couldn't imagine how or why, when they had virtually no other customers to tend to, they couldn't have put their best on display by making these tacos really spectacular. Instead, I got something worse than I would expect if they were super busy on a bad day. Huge disappointment. I am not sure at this point what could ever compel me to visit this...

Have yet to have a positive experience at this location and tonight was no different. They messed up taking the order through the intercom we got to the window and corrected the cashier who also proceeded to mess up the order. My husband went inside to return the food they charged us for that we did not want and told them to take off, good thing too because they didn’t give us part of our order we actually wanted. The young lady working the front counter was very helpful. Once he got back the car i checked the bag only to find out we never got our sauces either. So back in i went. The only one that seemed to be working was the young lady that helped my husband (she also helped me) There was 3 girls over in drive thru and two of them we playing around and joking and not paying attention to their job (including the one who takes the orders for drivethru so imagine that’s why she messed up the order to begin with).

I previously worked fast food for many years including as a manager. I 100% understand mistakes happen and that it can be hard to hear through the speaker but that was not the case tonight. It was a case of multiple people playing around at work and not paying attention which seems to be the...

I will never eat here again. The drinks were messy and over filled leaving drink all over the cup…the drink was hot which made the tea disappointing, it was disgusting 🤢 the food was cold and did not taste well. The cookies were just throwed in a bag and all broken up. I threw my food away, wasted my money giving them a try when I should of went to my go to Zaxbys which is in Gaffney..I’ve never had an experience with Zaxbys.. this location (East Main Street) will never get my business again. And someone has the nerve to say they are better than the Gaffney location. Sheesh well it must be two sides!!! If you want piping hot food -and actually sweet tea that’s sweet like it is suppose to be then I advise you to visit here. It’s worth it and you won’t be disappointed. They need to get some pointers from Gaffney and maybe they can save this place. Oh yea the staff is so rude and disrespectful I don’t know how they got the job honestly.
