Not sure if it's a local thing, but the sandwiches even cost more than I've been paying at truck stops. I drive truck so I eat my fair share of Subway. I find the subways that I typically buy have more meat on them then what this location is putting on. The price I paid here was the price I pay for a pro sandwich at a truck stop with twice the meat. Maybe this location does not get as much foot traffic (and owned privately vs corporate) but the lettuce, tomatoes and etc seem less "fresh". At the truck stops they have the meat portions pre wrapped. On a regular sandwich I see them use 3 of those pre wrapped portions and it covers the length of the sandwich real adequately, whereas I had a good half inch of uncovered bread on each end of the sandwich I bought here. I was disappointed but I needed to get home with something to eat and call it a night. I just know I won't go back again to this location. If I buy a sandwich in town I'm just gonna go to Jersey Mike's! At least their price and their sandwich seems to be consistent. The only thing I dislike about Jersey Mike's is they don't have olives which I like on my sandwiches. I guess I'll just go to Walmart and buy a small can of olives. Walking out I could feel the sandwich had HALF the weight of the truck...
Read moreAs soon as we walked in the lady was vague and very short with the first customer then as we approached she wasn't very friendly with us either. She didn't seem like she was happy to be working a 9-5 and was conversational. Not all people are but for the purpose of working closely with the public, you should at least TRY. Then the manager came out and the first worker rolled her eyes so that's when the manager took over I pulled out my money, a hundred dollar bill, sorry but that's all the cash I had on me besides my debit card which I could have used but anyways she kept looking at it decided to ring me up then as she state the price...I hand her the bill and she pointed at the money and said we don't accept those kind of bills...why not say that as soon as you seen me pylull it out? As I'm pulling out my debit card I'm asking how come she state because we dont...Okay I'd be rude if I said this is all I have and go somewhere else and wasted ur time making those skimpy sandwiches. Rude customer service and I should have just left but I didn't want to stoop to the level I was bro g creates on. Smile, interact, you never know how you might change someone's day or for that...
Read moreI placed an online/app order for a sandwich from The Pines Subway location on Friday November 19th, I set for a pick up time of 5:35pm. When I arrived at the location they did not have my order, I showed them the order, confirmation, the store address for pick up as well as my bank account with the charge. The REFUSED to help me because it didnt come through their system. They would not give me the sandwich, they would not refund me. They told me it was my problem and my banks problem. I asked for management, they said they called and the manager "Neal" said there was nothing they could do for me. They basically stole my money, they could see the charge and the order and refused to do anything. I asked for a either the sandwich or a refund and they told me no. They have still dont nothing to correct and I had to file a dispute with my bank for the charge. --- AVOID...
