I’ll be sharing more details in the grievance I file and a copy and paste response from the Vercler location to my review will also make it into the grievance. Believe every word of the negative reviews. I was having a panic attack, became irate, and went out of control. I will admit it. However... as the son of an ER RN, I know medical professionals are supposed to not only have de-escalation skills but empathy as well. This location (Vercler) lacks both, and what’s worse: they don’t care. After having already taken care of the main symptom over the phone, I was told to come in person. I’ve been neglected and blown off by this place for the same symptoms in the past so when something is not right in the most extreme way I’ve experienced yet, it’s natural for any human to go under a panic attack, especially when you’re showing the same signs as your dying relative and when you’ve been neglected AGAIN out in your car while you watch two others go into the back who got there after you. I was cornered by three females in a room. They were blocking the door and I had to use profanity to get them out of my way. Instead of apologizing for the poor customer service and insuring me there will be training, they immediately start lecturing me for my freak out and start threatening to not treat me which created a vicious cycle of me getting more irate and them apparently not wanting to treat me more. At first, I was going to “behave” until the doctor got a big head over seemingly winning a battle. After my partner, who was calm and collected, could not even get through to them and after calling the police on us, we rage quit and hightailed it to the ER where guess what? I had a life saving surgery because it was an appendicitis about to go horribly wrong and it was messing with my head. Imagine that. I’m legit curious where they get their education though. I would like to go there. If the school recruits idiots, it would be easy to graduate at the top. If they’re not idiots, they need to prove it and clean house and implement better training. I try my best to believe in the best in people but this was an experience that sought to challenge that. I don’t think medical professionals here realize people have lost their licenses for less than this. I’ve witnessed it myself as the son of an RN and through family friends who are doctors. This is not right. It’s a pandemic. Medical professionals like these people make the majority look bad. They’re an insult to other nurses and doctors and they’re inviting abuse on the good ones during this pandemic. Take some training tips from the Indiana location. Those have overall been good people.
The ER did in ten minutes with de-escalation and empathy what this Vercler location couldn’t do in two hours. I think the ER has it worse too....
Read moreI brought my children in a few times and we were treated absolutely wonderful I came in on my own and have been treated great. Today I had a nurse practitioner Marissa Armstrong gaslight me. She told me I had not come in three weeks prior and that no testing had been ordered. She repeated this to me 4 times I did though however come in 3 weeks prior and imaging was ordered for my lower back, I also had a follow up call saying nothing was found, however I saw the order and there were lumps found. Regardless I came in to get help to see a doctor was called a liar multiple times so when I told her she was gaslighting me she told me to leave and stated she was calling the cops. This woman Marissa Armstrong called the cops on me for advocating for myself. What a weak person very non professional. I was not guilty of being in any way criminal I felt so confused that I called dispatch as well to advocate that I was ni threat I was just trying to have a doctor's appointment. Another nurse came in with the security guard I explained what happened and assured that I was no threat I was just trying to follow up as my nerve in my back will not stop being activated. I have been in pain for 3 months and i.m still waiting for my doctors appointment. The second nurse validated that I had been in and then used that to refuse any anti inflammatories or further imaging. So I guess I got my visit completed by I was treated horrible scrutinizedi have mental illness so I started crying I don't get mean or angry when treated bad I will verbally say hey i.m not lying but you are but I don't cause fear or threaten or harm or anything I just cry I get overwhelmed and cry so I was humiliated I had to speak to the police I had to walk out with a security guard like a vilan it was a vile horrid situation. Now I have a headache from crying hours later I still have a headache my blood pressure was high when I went in it has been more elevated since I was abused by the nurse practitioner at chas urgent care today. I got the cops called on me for wanting anti inflammatories and an MRI for my back. But I wasn't even able to mention either of those things with Marissa Armstrong she sent her nurse in prior to tell me I hadn't been seen there and when I requested to talk to a doctor she came in the room arguing with me. Major pride ego narcissistic entitlement issues with her. Absolute worst experience I have ever had at an urgent care or with any doctor or nurse practitioner. Prior to this I would have said nothing but great things they have been kind and gentle to my kids my partner and I up to this point. Bad apple. Watch...
Read moreI’ve been an established Chas patient for years now and since 2020 every month when it comes time for a refill, there is an issue. I came to the urgent care needing a refill to last me a week until my next appointment and although the wait time was quick, the pharmacy service was atrocious. The technicians billed my insurance for my prescriptions before explaining to me why they were shorting me. When I explained to them that I got a new prescription while I was in THEIR urgent care, they gave me the medication they wanted to give me and told me to figure it out on my side. I came back after being told they should have filled the new prescription as written and the pharmacy manager, Sarah, gives me a hard time for not calling my doctor and getting them to fix my previous prescription. I wanted them to reverse the prescription claims and send them to the Rite Aids I’ve had good luck with and Sarah tells me they don’t do that there. I’m a pharmacy technician myself and we do claim reversals all day long. When I asked for an clinic administrator I was given a grievance phone line where they told me their clinic doesn’t currently have a administrator. I spent x amount of time in their lobby and ended up crying over this incident when everyone continued to point their finger at someone else. Then Chas’ administrator line forwards my call to the pharmacy manager and it’s the same girl that had argued with me at the pharmacy. Finally, they give me the rest of the medication I need at no charge. This is exactly why I’m in the field I am and this level of care is embarrassing. I was the patient in this incident and I still had to make all the necessary phone calls to resolve this issue and I wouldn’t have known what to do without my work experience. This is not a controlled substance, it’s a antidepressant I’ve been on since 2019. People shouldn’t have to be hospitalized because of neglectful care and that’s exactly what has happened to me and I’m sure other patients under Chas’ care. Unfortunately the Chas pharmacy on Indiana is...
