I personally was not impressed. The place does not take reservations, so most likely there will be a wait to get a table because the seating area is so small. Our wait time was 40 minutes and when we called to check up on our table past the waiting time, we were told that they tried calling us three times. We later found out that they wrote down our number wrong and that would have been ok, but the hostess was rude. Our actual server was nice, but even then the wait time on our food and picking up dishes was long. One of our orders was put in a take out box instead of being brought out; we had to catch someone and inquire about it. There are also not a lot of gluten free options and if you are GF, make sure you specify because items marked GF are not automatically GF. Due to the experience and as someone whom is GF, I am not sure how likely I am to come back. There just aren't a lot of GF options or great enough service to make it worth it.

The overall review I give for this place comes down to food and ambience. The food here is delicious and portions are big, but at the cost of being a little bit more expensive. The menu isn't the biggest I've seen so maybe check it out online to sample what they might have. I really dig the fried calimari and dipping sauce they had with it. The sushi had great flavors, but I found the sizes where a little too big. Big as in not really comfortable one bite sushi, would prefer a slight smaller diameter and making the overall roll a bit longer instead. Not really a con, just a personal nitpick. As for the ambience, it is crowded. The inside of the restuarent is very tiny and when full of people, can be crowded and loud. So if you were looking to take a date here and have a bite of sushi while talking normal volume, not recommended. But hanging out friends and family while having some beer or sake, should be good enough.

I like this place. I think you get a lot of food for your dollar and service is always friendly. My favorite roll exists here - the fire lion king which comes out on fire and they put it out. There's baked salmon on top and everyone who's tried it really likes it. The sushi and sashimi bento box is the best deal you can possibly get for your money in this town I think (not pictured). For $18, you get soup, rice, a handroll, tempura veggies and shrimp, pan fried dumplings, about 4 pieces of sashimi and 5 pieces of nigiri. I can't give it five stars though because of several reasons. It's not the best sushi I've had and I'm comparing it to places I've eaten in Hawaii and Japan. The ratio of filling/rice/fish is almost always too disproportionately too much. Seating is cramped. Your clothes may smell since the space is so small. Lastly, they don't take reservations. I still think it's worth going.

We love sushi and have had it all over the United States. QQ suffers from the same issue as a lot of new places do, it is not focused on sushi, it's a fusion restaurant with a lot of random offerings.

We sampled the Rock'n, the Black Jack, Miso Soup, and Octopus and Blue Fin Toro sashimi.

The Miso was good, that was the high point.

The Rock'n is Yellowtail with avocado interior with spicy scallops on top. The presentation is messy. Instead of chopped scallops being neatly placed on the roll its whole small scallops haphazardly poured on top and the entire roll is drenched in the spicy sauce. There are far too many scallops and the roll itself is small. The rice was underdone and gummy. The only grace for this roll was the yellowtail was of decent quality.

The BlackJack is purely imitation crab on the inside which is a big miss for texture, especially considering the rice was once again gummy and underdone. The Yellowtail on top of this offering was tough and stringy.

The Ocotopus when sampled without any helpers such as soy and lemon had a bitter hit right on the the bite instead of what should be a salty, with a hint of sweet. The texture was okay, but the serving was not nearly cold enough. Octopus Sashimi is normally so cold it almost seems frozen at first.

The Blue Fin Toro was a healthy serving of three very thick slices. That was quickly overshadowed by a heavy fish taste both on the bite and then worsening on the back of the tongue. The texture was decent but once again it was pushing room temperature just like the Octopus.

Overall if it wasn't for the super friendly and attentive staff I would have given 1 out of 5 for...

I really hate to do this because I’ve always had 5 star experiences going to Q&Q, but today I went and got Egg Flower soup to go, and when I got home and was stirring it around it was what appeared to be mold. I showed it to 4 different people, one of which graduated from cullinary school, and they all agreed it looked like mold or something rotten. Now, I know they claim to make it “fresh” but I’m not sure how fresh it was today. I’ve gotten this soup MILLIONS of times and I’ve never ever gotten anything like that ever and so I know that what was in there shouldn’t have been in there. When I called the restaurant I was quite unhappy with the response I received over the phone, very short, and not offering a solution to the problem whatsoever. I get to the restaurant to return the food, and they did give me a full refund, but the cook claimed it was just from the “bottom of the pan because they sear the soup”. If it was from the bottom of the pan, the “black flecks” in the gray/green egg would have flaked off, but it was definitely apart of the food. I honestly wouldn’t have written a bad review if they had offered a solution over the phone, and admit that something was definitely wrong with the soup rather than trying to just pull a sheet over my eyes.

Again, everything else is great there and I’ve never had a problem, I just really did not like the customer service I experienced and the fact that they weren’t being...

I had one of the best meals I've had in a long time along with the absolute best service I've ever had!

To give you some perspective, I had a friend rave about Sashimi and I wanted to try some for the first time. My waitress (Cady) said that she personally preferred Nigiri but it's just a preference and that some people don't like the rice with it. I decided to go with Nigiri thinking that having the rice as a buffer would be a great first step to having just the fish. I ordered the Sushi Dinner which was 6 chef's choice pieces of Nigiri and a crab stick roll. Cady took the time to explain to me which fish was which and what I should expect, she also offered several sauces on the side to enhance the experience. I feel like I ate this much faster than I should have but I took the time to taste and chew each bite so I knew what I like for the future. The food was fresh, tasty, and luxurious on my tongue. I even ordered another 2 pieces of what I liked the most (which happened to also be her favorite).

Very rarely have I ever experienced such fantastic service helping me along my journey and even teaching me about the fish. Having wait staff help, explain, and talk to me about their own experience is a delight that I have had only one other time. Cady made my experience 100 times better than it could have been had I had someone who didn't care to connect with their customer and have a conversation. Bravo QQ, and...
