***EDIT*** They refunded the whole dinner, which was awesome!! And very unexpected, thank you "Boiler Room!!" Well, service is awesome!! From making my phone order to pickup..very friendly folks and very helpful. Wasn't too satisfied with the food however. Don't know if it's because we didn't eat in the establishment...we had never been, and it had come with high recommendations... So, the desserts, supposed to be butterfinger brownies, and were spendy...all we got were the brownies. They were supposed to be topped with ice cream, chocolate and caramel sauce, and crushed butterfingers... Then the pizza is a pepperoni. Don't know why, but the crust was paper thin. Their photos showed a crust that was thick...when I ordered it, I just said a large pepperoni pizza, no special instructions, and nobody asked if I wanted thin crust...and the crust was burnt. Now, the whole reason I wanted to try this place...their portobello mushrooms that are stuffed with goodies...my mom used to make these for me when she was alive...so yeah, I had very high expectations...and I was very very disappointed with them... First, they're small, very small for portobello mushrooms. Second, they don't know HOW to prepare them. The mushrooms were tough and unable to be cut easily. I asked them to cook the onions, they didn't. Which normally would be fine. However I have a very rare condition that I can't digest uncooked vegetables. I specifically asked for them to be cooked and she said no problem... If they were unable to do the request, then I would have readjusted my order. They were also burnt... The photos on their site of the portobello mushrooms looked to be 6-8 inches in width and a good inch thick...the ones that they served, maybe 3 inches in width and a quarter inch thick, if that...to be fair, I was told that they were small, but I didn't realize how small... So, I called and spoke with the manager, she was a sweetheart. She did refunded the desserts, which was $20. (2 desserts). Before I left the establishment, I asked for an updated menu, but they didn't have any available. Definitely disappointed, probably won't be back.

Went to The Boiler Room for my niece's 18th birthday dinner the other night and was very disappointed. I arrived about 10 minutes after most people had arrived. I sat at the table and there was no water. The two small pitchers of water were empty. I asked the server for some water and a draft beer. 1/2 hour later, both were delivered. The building was uncomfortably warm. The large table that was behind us was dirty when we arrived and remained dirty when we left. Service was slow and food was inconsistent. My Sister-in-law ordered "The Works" pizza and the cheesy bread. Both looked perfectly fine. My niece ordered the BBQ Chicken pizza and it was inedible. It was 75% charred (burnt) and only a few pieces could she eat. My Dad ordered the Chicken Bacon Artichoke pizza. It had very little bacon, and was sooooo dry. Another family member ordered their Charcuterie board, that also came with a pretzel. The pretzel was another positive. The sauces (cheese and mustard) offered were not that great. The charcuterie itself was okay. The meats were all cut funny. One end would be paper-thin and the other would be thick. The olives were also warm. I ordered the Blackened Chicken Caesar wrap and for $2 got the side salad instead of their "potato wedges." When it was delivered, there was no salad. There was ranch dressing and "potato wedges." The wrap was apparently rolled on the same surface as their overcooked pizzas, because my hands were black from ash. I had no napkin to clean the soot from my hands. I did eventually get a napkin and the salad, which I took home for lunch the next day. Also, the potato wedges are like fried breakfast potatoes. My brother ordered a salad, which he got without any silverware to eat it. The menu indicates you're going to get about a 25% char on their pizzas. My Sister-in-law’s Moon thinks that just means that you should expect your pizza to be over cooked. I have eaten pizzas all over and have had many wood fired pizzas that aren't charred as much as most of these were. The only two that enjoyed their meals were my Aunt and Uncle. They especially enjoyed their brownie dessert.

Had a great time overall. One thing I didn't like with the food was that the artichoke dip was really salty, mind you we also had the pretzel alongside it which is covered in salt and we thought the artichoke dip was still to salty. The dip itself is really tasty with big chunks of artichokes in there and very cheesy flavor. Atmosphere is 4/5, we chose to sit outside and there's an outdoor sound system. It played music the whole time at the right volume but occasionally we would hear what appears to be kitchen noises such as employees talking and metal hitting metal through the sound system and it was too loud. There must be a microphone somewhere inside picking up on that. It was slightly unpleasant. Overall, 4/5, very good and fun place

I'm trying to be generous here, because while I didn't personally enjoy much, it came highly recommended to me.

So this is advertised as a place to get good craft beer and good brick oven pizza. They have ten tap handles (I think that's correct), and when my husband and I went on January 11, there was a light beer (Coors or maybe Bud), Peroni, four IPAs, and four winter beers. Only a couple were from local breweries. We were hoping for a better, more local offering. About 15 kind of generic bottle/can beers. We didn't have cocktails, but their specialty offering did look good!!

Onto the food. Like I said, it was highly recommended. We shared the Citrus Almond Salad, and granted, skipped the beets and got the dressing on the side (too many places drench their salads). So we got a spinach and romaine mix (not the spinach and arugula that was on the menu), a few almond slices, and a sprinkling of goat cheese. The citrus vinaigrette was like watered down orange juice. I ended up drenching my salad anyway, so I could get some flavor.

We also got the double pepperoni pizza, which was enough to share, or for one very hungry person. The sauce was a little too sweet, and too liberally applied. The cheese was tasty, but the pepperoni seemed like your generic pepperoni you can buy in a grocery store. We liked the crust to an extent, but the over-saucing on such a thin crust made it hard to eat, not to mention taste...

My biggest complaint is that while oven-fire pizzas are intended to have a bit of char on the bottom, ours just tasted ashy. Dirty, like the ovens hadn't been cleaned. Whatever flavor the very thin crust may have had was lost in the ashiness and sauce.

We didn't have a great experience. The service was good, but the boasted beer selection was lacking, and the food was visually pleasing, but either bland or ashy. Again, I say that this is personal opinion; we didn't complain at all because it is just opinion. I'm just being honest about what WE experienced.

Definitely give it a try tho, I have friends that love...
