This is a tough review to write. I thought the atmosphere was fabulous, the service was great, and the overall experience was lovely. However, the food while not bad, was really not to my taste. So I don't want to give a bad review just because it's not something that I would normally choose. That being said, the gluten-free pizza crust was more like a flatbread. And part of this could be my fault because they only have QR code menus and I hate looking at menus on my cell phone so I just winged it without even looking at a menu. There might be some kind of explanation about the type of pizza they serve on the menu, but I couldn't tell you. The pizza sauce was a little bit stronger in flavor than I care for. I like my sauce a tinge on the sweeter side and something that tends to complement the other flavors of the pizza and not so much command your attention away from them. They were very generous with the toppings and the mushrooms were fresh and there was lots of cheese. So that was great. I don't drink root beer very often, but when I do I like really good root beer and this root beer was lackluster. When I was asked about it cuz I literally only drank like a third of it, I told them so and the response was that they are not responsible for the quality of the root beer since they don't make it there. I told him there was no bite to it and he said that it was Barqs. It was not necessarily flat but it tasted watered down and was lacking in the effervescence you normally get, so there might be something wrong with their machine. And that's normally why I give that kind of feedback in case there is an issue with the machine they can fix it for the next customer. So the experience wasn't bad, but not worth 5 stars - probably more like a 3.5. It was a wonderful afternoon break to sit outside in the fresh air and watch the people go by in that lovely downtown area, but I can't wholeheartedly...
Read moreThe service is great and it’s an awesome location. The pizza is very good, but it is essential to eat this fresh to have the full experience. Some of the flavors can be a bit of a miss. The Thai curry pizza for instance. We were expecting some curry flavor to really shine through. Instead there was only a tiny bit of curry drizzled on top of the pizza with a few toppings making it for a dry and flavorless experience. We noticed being stingy on toppings was a pattern, but we’ve only eaten here twice, so I will edit this on our third try if needed. Their classic pizza flavors are where they really shine through. The tomato sauce is on point. It’s well seasoned: not too acidic and not too sweet. The cheese and other ingredients taste fresh and they do an exceptional job in cooking the pizza perfectly so it gets that crispy crust without being burnt. All in all, it’s a great spot and definitely worth it to try it out and try several different pizzas to see what you...
Read moreFood and Service: Good service and good food. We ordered a Pepperoni, an Artichoke, and a Prosciutto pizza. Their pizzas come in one size (about 12"), which is good for one to two people (depending on how hungry you are). Probably not the best in Spokane but is good enough to be rated as one of the best tasting pizza in Spokane. Service was good. The wait staff was friendly, welcoming, and attentive. They earned a 25+% tip.
Location: South Perry District - it's a nice little neighborhood south/southeast of downtown; about less than 2 miles to 2.5 miles away or about a 5 to 8 minute drive, depending on where you're coming from. Appears to be a safe area, at least near the shops and eateries.
Parking: There appears to be enough parking for about eight vehicles at the lot adjacent to the restaurant. There's also ample street parking.
Payment: It was a very easy process. Scanned a QR code and paid online.
Overall dining experience was...
