The email I sent to Taco Time
I visited this store on January 8th, 2021 at 6:15pm. I ordered 2 crisp meat burritos, a small Maxi fry, a small stuffed fry, and a county burrito no sausage, easy microwave. I finally got my order at 6:40pm... I checked my order and my county burrito was extremely hot, and had sausage in it, the cook was touching food barehanded, (with NO gloves) and then i had to stand at the counter, with the burritos open for another 5 minutes waiting for someone to tell that my order was messed up. The drive-thru guy was able to make it over and asked what was wrong. So I explained my burrito was incorrect. He had it made the correct way. My biggest concern here is the cook making, touching and wrapping food with NO gloves.. were in the middle of a pandemic here and on top of that it's illegal to touch Cook food without a barrier between skin and food.... We ended up throwing the whole meal away and I would like a refund as this behavior is Completely unacceptable even if there wasn't a pandemic going on..
I will update with the email they send back..
COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE....

In response to the owner...
I guess first off I should explain I was a manager at taco time for 3 years. Second, yes you can see in the back of house, true you can not see the counter where they make the food, however you are able to see employee's grabbing tots, and other bags. Third, when the employee raises his hands you are able to see very clearly if there is gloves on a hand or not.. I'm VERY aware of what clear gloves look like. Prior and after being a manager of Taco Time, I was also general manager of Taco Bell for over 10 years. I know what to look for with regards to employees. I KNOW what I saw, and REALLY don't appreciate being called a liar. I can't say denying it and calling a customer a liar is very good business practice. One would think this would be a perfect opportunity to educate or coach employee's. I will be calling you at the number provided and we can discuss this incident further. And...
Read moreIf I could give this store a 0 star I would, I have never had to do this before in fact I had to have my granddaughter show me how to leave a review because it’s almost impossible to get a hold of corporate. A few days ago I went inside to order mine and my 8 year old granddaughter some lunch, I had my order placed by a gentleman with a button down black shirt I’m assuming he was a manager but I’m not sure. He wore a hat and glasses. When he first walked up I noticed him “pat” a woman on the rear end. Luckily my granddaughter didn’t notice it so I let it be thinking it could had been an accident it seemed like it was a tight space so I gave him the benefit of the doubt. He walked up and greeted me and took our order, I don’t know if he seen that I saw him do it but while he was placing our order he seemed very pushy like he was rushing to get my order taken while staring at the same woman he just tapped on the rear end. I then asked for a drink with my order and payed for our lunch. As he turned around he said something under his breath that sounded like (I’m sick of these type of people) mind you my granddaughter is half African American and asked me if that’s what he said. I had to look at my grand child with tears almost falling from her face because she thought she did something wrong by wanting to go eat at our favorite place. She was thoroughly excited because she says they have the best food in town. Now she doesn’t ever want to go back. I’m not sure what’s happened to this place but no child should ever have to feel the way she did because of who she is. This is discrimination to the fullest extent of the definition. Shame on...
Read moreHigher prices for smaller portions and there's barely anything on the salsa bar anymore--(no more excuses, COVID is over...bring it back!) Every time we go in it's just a bunch of kids working...and it shows. No one is ever available to wait on you at the counter. We always spend the first few minutes after walking in trying to find someone that works there....and then we start the hunt for a clean table. Right in the middle of the dining area they had mop buckets and wet towels making a barricade on the floor so people wouldn't sit under...what I'm guessing is a massive leak in the ceiling? There wasn't any trash, but every table had crumbs, smears and spills so we sat at the cleanest dirty table we could find. Clearing a table is NOT the same as cleaning a table. Even if the trash is gone you still have to wash the table AND chairs/seats. (In all fairness about 90% of the places we go out to eat can't figure this out either)....buuut when you leave a bunch of kids to run the place that's...
