The food is undoubtedly flavorful but pricey, the potions unpredictable and the service is lousy eight out of ten times. If it wasn't for the abysmal customer service, this would have been my favorite place to go to. I went there today , around noon to get something for my son. He initially chose a Birria crispy cheese dilla but changed his mind on reading the ingredient list on the screen which did not mention any meat and ordered another item instead. But then another customer said " Birria" meant beef. I thought it might be helpful to bring this to the notice of the lady so that she may be aware that customers who are not familiar with the term Birria may mistakenly think it was meatless from the ingredient list. I thought my input would be appreciated or at least acknowledged with reciprocal friendliness. To my dismay and consternation, the woman started acting defensive putting up a great show, completely unwarranted , of being harassed, as if I had accused her of something instead of merely having made what I thought was a helpful observation. She continued the pretense , repeatedly saying, " I was just trying to make sure I wasn't giving meat to someone who didn't want it", (which didn't make sense since I had already indicated that we wanted meat) and any attempt at politely correcting the misunderstanding was met with much head shaking and reiterations of , " just trying to do my job maam", ( but no one told her not to do her job). It was obvious that the woman was desperately trying to portray herself as the victim of a difficult customer. Oh , the poor dear! the poor dear!, how difficult her job must be! Pretending that you're being harassed when a customer is just giving polite input, must be hard work indeed! Goodbye Bubbakoos! Back to Chipotle. I understand that this is not an intellectual job, but when you hire employees, try to hire people with a modicum of common sense, amenable to basic reason. PS, Don't want to paint all Bubbakoos employees with the same brush. On my visit previous to the last one, the young girl at the counter that day was very sweet. But one bad apple can spoil the whole barrel. The aforementioned incident occurred on June 10th around 1:30 pm. Unfortunately I do not know the name of that employee. It was a woman in...
Read moreI get that this is fast food, but this location is consistently disappointing. Despite what appears to be a decent flow of customers, the food always seems like it's been sitting around forever. The meat is always overcooked, dry, and bland. Tonight, the black beans were like paste that was somehow both mushy and dry, and the contents of my burrito were not warm enough to melt the shredded cheese, despite the fact that everything in there was an allegedly hot item (meat, rice, beans, and queso). Their queso was the consistency of a loose cream soup, not at all what queso should be. Other stores, particularly the New Brunswick location, are always super fresh and delicious, so I know the quality issues are specific to this location.
In addition, this place always feels kinda dirty - i don't know that it is, but the area where they assemble the food is always a hot mess, so i guess that contributes to it. For some reason, they removed all of the napkin dispensers from the tables, so you gotta keep getting up to get more, which is annoying at place where they mostly serve food that you eat with your hands. Also, it was FREEZING in there. It was 20 degrees outside, but they had all of their ceiling fans on, and it felt like there was a door open somewhere. It could not have been over 50 in the dining area. We had to shovel our food down with our winter coats on, just so we could get back into the warm car.
The only consistent upside to this place is that the staff is always very nice. Bruno and Sophia were awesome tonight, but everything else is disappointing. Honestly, if my 9 year old didn't like this place so much, I would never come here. As it is, I relent every couple months, and then...
Read moreI swore off eating here while pregnant because they couldn’t seem to get anything right. My son is 3 months old and I’m less irrational about food, so I tried again. I spent 55$ And got there 10 minutes early. I told the girl I was picking up when I walked in. Waited 15 minutes, and all but one girl walked out to go on break. So I finally asked if my food had even been started, and it had been sitting there the entire 15 minutes I fought with my 1 year old about not being allowed to take off her shoes. Not in the designated pick up spot where I was told to retrieve it, but behind the counter. Why wasn’t I told it was ready when I arrived? Who knows. Fine. Get it home, the entire order is missing sour cream. All 3 entrees. Which when you’re eating a keto bowl, was vital to it not being dry. We both ordered EXTRA protein, and I wouldn’t have called that extra. The wings were crispy but not all that good .. unevenly cooked and only half were sauced. My daughters kids meal was actually good, but she was also bummed about no “dip” as she calls it. Overall, not worth what I paid. But the staff is always so nice, it just is always unorganized and inconsistent. They seem like they need training or management or something. I will probably...
