Liu's Kitchen Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Spotswood

Patronized this place until the pandemic (couldn’t deal with their craziness) and just tried them today after 2 years. Had the Special Soup…nothing really special when compared to another local Chinese Restaurant, but was very good nonetheless. My wife had the Sweet and Sour chicken and it was not as good as another restaurant in the area. Lastly, had the steamed chicken with mixed vegetables with a supposedly hot garlic sauce, tasty, but not better than a comparable restaurant in the area. It lacked the spicy edge especially any oomph in any added tastiness. Sadly for them, as we used to order here all the time, we were forced to try another local establishment over their insane actions and by doing so, we found a much better alternative. Gave it another try, but it only confirmed that they aren’t doing enough to earn our patronage and are thankful they made us try other local restaurants which serve a superior product. We have moved on….they aren’t awful, but aren’t up to par to the local...

Horrid, the combination platter of boneless spare ribs and pork fried rice with an egg roll made me sick vomiting and diarrhea for the passed 2-3 days. It was the only food I had eaten Christmas Day for lunch and the next day. I had eaten a few pieces of the ribs along with the egg roll and some of the rice then the next day again only ate a few pieces of ribs and the rest of the rice. We ordered pork fried rice, egg roll, spring roll, quart of pork fried rice. The bill was $23.00 Portion size was very large it would easily feed 2 or 3 people depending how hungry they were. The chicken was tender, lacked sauce. The Pork fried rice and rolls all lacked flavor. I don't know why, but they need to work on it.

I have definitely had worse, also had better.

The food was sent through a 2 sided window. Covid has change so many things. No indoor dinning.
