Lin's Garden — Restaurant in Spring Garden Township

We had a very bad dining experience here a couple of months ago in which our food was so overcooked and tough that we ended up leaving without eating the food. That could well have been a Godsend moment for us because Lin's Garden had a health department inspection on April 12th and FAILED HORRIBLY!!! After reading the inspection report I was so relieved that we did not eat the food from here. Food contamination & potential food contamination were noted throughout the kitchen. As the ol' saying goes, it's what you don't know that can kill you. The person who identified themself as being in charge was also noted to not having adequate knowledge of food safety. It's one thing to have the training & education to safely operate a commercial kitchen but not use that knowledge bacause at least you will know how to correct the violations, but when you're ignorant you have no clue as to what you are doing and you obviously don't care about conducting your business in a professional manner. When a restaurant doesn't give a hoot about the health & safety of the food that they are selling to the public that restaurant needs to be shut down immediately until all management & employees are trained and certified in safe food handling, and the kitchen has zero food...

First chinese place I have tried since moving to York aside from the buffets ( love Aroma , other one by old country buffet not so much) after reading review after review on places around, seeing no one is giving any recent reviews, I had to write one. I got szechuan chicken, beef and broccoli,shrimp fried rice, chicken rice soup ( bland, no taste ), and crab ragoons ( to sweet and not fried to crisp, for me) everything else was decently good and well cooked. Only bad thing I would say is I ordered dinner and didnt recieve my egg rolls that were supposed to come with it, maybe you have to verify you want the ( free) egg rolls? This place is a joke. In all the years I order they have made mistakes and I'm not the one to calm and complain. They take there sweet time in deliveries because I've been there and seen how they do things. Also I called to tell them they messed up on my order and this is the first time I'm complaining for them to say well dont call here no more. Really links garden. They dont care about there customers at all. Just fix my order. I always spend 45 or more and order 3 times a week from home and friend and families homes. No good. They lost a loyal customer. Also make sure to check your food literally check your food.
