We came here the first time around a month ago and it was great; food, service and everything. We returned on Saturday June 31, 2018 with friends. It was a really disappointing experience. First off it felt like it was over 80 degrees in there. It was kinda like that last time but without the 100% humidity. This time the staff were sweating their buts off and so were all of us patrons. Problem is the staff is sweating like crazy and handling our food and drinks. This is a big no no and if a inspector would of happened to stop for lunch I am sure big inspections and fines would of followed. Second the service was terrible. We are burning up and waiting as much as 15 minutes for drinks. They were unorganized and unprepared to handle the customer load. The food and drinks were good. We just don't know whose and how much of their sweat we ingested. This needs to be fixed right away. We would of stayed longer if this wasn't the situation. Not sure if we will return. I know our...
Read moreOne star is too generous. I live in Spring Grove and have been to Bricks and Ivy numerous times. I will never, ever, ever, ever, EVER be back. I went there a few weeks ago on a Sunday to watch the Chiefs football game with my family. I called ahead and was assured they had all the games. We arrived at 11:45 and were assured they had all the games. We ordered drinks and food, guess what? Of course they don’t have all the games. Against my better judgement I decided to order carry out for the family on a Saturday night. The wife called it in at 5:05. I gave them some time and showed up at 5:40. The bartender had me pay my bill (of course I add a 20+% tip) and said the order will be right up. 40 minutes later, at 6:20, I finally get her attention and ask to check on my order. She comes back with my cold, soggy burgers and fries. I ask what happened and she says “we were busy” as she runs away. After she fished out pizzas to three other carry out orders in front of me....
Read moreWhen my aunt told be we had to try Bricks and Ivy Tavern I didn't think much of it because the area is so heavily populated with sports bars. We decided to give it a try any way and i'm happy we did! We had a party of 9, 6 adults and 3 kids, and called a little bit before we got there and they had our table ready when we got there. The service all around was incredible. Our waitress was attentive and the manager (possibly owner) checked in with us. We had a couple round of drinks and appetizers and as usually like fried pickles and try them pretty much everywhere... these were the best I have ever had! They were tasty and seasoned incredibly, and we had to order 2 extra orders! Beyond that, we ordered a pepperoni pizza and a Harry Carry pizza. They were both very good, hot, fresh, and filling. My aunt has a very sever gluten allergy and they offer a gluten free menu. All of the food was pretty tasty, the service was great, and the prices were pretty...
