New China Taste — Restaurant in Spring Grove

My husband and I have been going here since they first opened. We won't be going back for a long time, if ever. Their potstickers used to be great but now they are the same as I could buy in the freezer section in the grocery store--awful! The rest of our meal was marginal at best. Too bad because they used to be our local go to place for Chinese food.

Edit: After 5 YEARS, we decided to give this place another chance. Based on other comments, we ordered crab rangoon, pork egg rolls, and the house special lo mein. We also took a chance and ordered mu shu chicken. Our first mistake was ordering online. We were given one pickup time (15 minutes after ordering). On my husband's way there, they changed the pickup time by 5 more minutes (no big deal). When he got there, he had to wait an additional 45 minutes. The egg rolls were tough and tasteless, the crab rangoon tasted like we were eating a spoonful of sugar in each, and the lo mein had absolutely no flavor. The mu shu chicken was the WORST. It contained romaine lettuce instead of cabbage. Needless to say, the best part of our dinner was the fortune cookies. We should not have given them...

This place honestly deserves a 10 star review. Every time we eat here it’s truly perfect. We love the pork fried rice and the crab rangoons. Cooked perfect, always rippin hot, and filled to the brim. I have seriously started eating here at least once if not twice a week since discovering them a few months ago. It’s also super clean and I’m always welcomed with a smile. I would easily drive an hour just for their food. 2 thumbs up, 5 stars, 10/10...

This place is great! Tried it after being disappointed with the McHenry area Chinese food restaurants. It was worth the drive. I had crab rangoon, pork egg rolls, chicken mei fun, chicken lo mein, and mixed veggies. The pork rolls were delicious and fresh, crab rangoon was crispy and flavorful.
