I decided to give it another try tonight, and it makes me wish I could give negative stars. I used to frequent this Dairy Queen, but stopped when it started going downhill. The store is wall-to-wall, floor-to-ceiling filthy. The number of items "out of stock" - and I say that loosely as I watched one girl say to the other 'just tell them we are out" - is identical to a restaurant that is going out of business.
I have spent 75% of my career working in service, and the pay and treatment of workers is inexcusable; however, when you deliver terrible, rude service with an "I don't care" or "I hate my job" attitude, it makes it really hard to defend your cause. Should you decide to spend your money here, expect to be treated like garbage until you walk out the door; unless, of course, you are a "cute" teenage boy.
The food was disgusting and, most certainly, not worthy of the Dairy Queen brand. I ordered two blizzards (a small and a large) and there was barely a spoonful of candy mixed in each. I also ordered two large strawberry shakes; the cups were filled 3/4 with milk, a tiny bit of ice cream, and a scoop of strawberries. Had I known this is what I would be receiving, I could've saved my money and just bought a gallon of milk and Hershey's syrup across the street. Having made the mistake - and nearly getting my face snatched off - by asking for lids, I thought it best not to attempt to ask for a drink carrier.
In summary, take your hard-earned money elsewhere, and let this place pass away into oblivion...
Read moreI have been a customer at Dairy Queen since it opened in Spring Grove. I have always been happy with the service and items served. The last two visits I ordered a cone. I noticed the ice cream does not get wrapped around the cone anymore. The ice cream is put in the opening of the cone and the rest of the cone is exposed . Of course, this is cutting back on the ice cream content! I can not pay almost $5 for a medium cone and not even get the equivalent of a scoop of ice cream. I hopeful the “old” cone makes a comeback ! If not, I can buy a 1/2 gallon of ice cream and...
Read moreStop in here frequently for a treat with my wife and we always leave very happy. Today not so, it was supposedly the first day of spring free cone day. The cheapskate owner of this store however had signs up that he was not participating. We went in and still purchased our favorite treat and watched several folks drive up and leave, one of which was the local rescue squad. I wish I had been quicker thinking as I would have gladly picked up their treat. I may not visit another DQ again...
