I’m writing this as a first time reviewer of anything on this platform and rarely do I complain.
I just spent a year maintaining smokers and working in a BBQ joint .
I really had high hopes as I do my best to support local businesses, Especially when there is a competing commercialized BBQ place the next shopping center down.
That being said, I made a pick-up order and the young man behind the counter was super friendly and very nice.
So I get my meal home and I open the brisket and what I got was essentially jerky.. extremely dry.
What’s more is instead of sliced brisket like most places serve it I got a pile of what can only be described as thinky sliced trimmings from leftover briskets that typically would make a serving platter .
I also got the mac and cheese and it seems like it came out of a container of pre-made like the restaurant I worked in recently.
The coleslaw was good and the Brunswick stew wasn’t bad. But the brisket was a major let down.
I will attach photos but This is NOT how sliced brisket should look.
A highlight of all of this however was the Alabama white sauce. Really good stuff.
I hope this was just a bad night for the team at Denims or maybe a new person or whatever working...

My husband and father both ordered a plate and we did not receive BBQ sauce with it. (The restaurant had closed so we could not go back and get sauce) I called in the morning and spoke with the manager Shelby. She stated that even though we order sauce with our food she could not replace the meal only the sauce. After 18mins on the phone she said I was rude and she would not replace the plates if her servers only forgot the sauce (her excuse was they were new and it was before closing. So they must have been rushing) I would not recommend anyone go there and I hope the owner has a different approach to when dealing...

Upon opening the door.. the smell of dirty mop water and No aroma of BBQ should have been a fast turn around and back out the door experience. But no.. I gave it the benefit of the doubt and totally disregarded 3 red flags (Empty, Smells rotten, no food smells) to trying over priced.. microwaved food. I tried the tasteless beef jerky.. I mean what they called Brisket that had no flavor and was dried out beyond what BBQ sauce could help. Sides were lukewarm. Cheesy potatoes tasteless..
