Talk about a dry spot and out of this world service. Not in a good way. My friend and I decided to give it a shot, and for my first experience, it will be my last. The place was empty when it should have been packed. 1st sign. We were seated quickly. The service was super slow. We sat at the bar area at a high top. People on both sides were complaining when we got there about no silverware. Meanwhile, we waited about 10 minutes for the server to show up. We proceed to order, and this guy is just lost. I always order a Pittsburgh steak. I do have to say, the cook hooked it up. Sadly, the 18oz ribeye was tough and tasted like salt. Being cooked this way, it's hard to find a tough steak. I also ordered the caesar and loaded baked potato with no sour cream. I'm pretty sure it had extra and no butter when I got it. The lad was obviously lost, so I just let it be.
The drinks. I ended up going to the bar for refills. My friend ended up having him bring 2 at a time. Rolls, we had to pry those from him. 3 rolls in a tray and 2 hungry men, we were lucky to get 2 baskets. My friend had chili and also an 18oz ribeye. After having the food for a moment, my friend asked the waiter to try his chili to see if it tasted ok. Dumbfounded, the waiter asked if he had a spoon to use. He replied, "No, that was kind of the point." (In a nice joking fashion) The whole meal went this way. We did try to make the best of it with humor.
As stressed as the kid was, when he asked about desert, I decided to share a laugh by saying I'd like a waitress with no dressing, hold the cheese. The kid had no clue what I had just said to him. The waiter couldn't comprehend the smallest of things. None the less, the oldest joke in the book. We still gave him a good tip and that's the end of that.
Great job on doing Pittsburgh though! It's hard to find a cook...
Read moreFood is always great. Might be a wait so call ahead! We came around 4:30 on Saturday and no wait. We were seated immediately. We always have to get the Wild West shrimp as an appetizer. It has never disappointed. we have tried others but this is our favorite. The Parmesan crusted chicken is the best, hands-down. Even when I want to order something else, I find myself coming back to it. Last time I got the rice it was dry and not cooked through so this time I got the loaded baked potatoes and that was great. The Caesar salad is also good. My husband gets the steak (longhorn,T-bone or ribeye) every time and it is always cooked perfectly to his liking. He also enjoys the sweet potato as his side. On the rear occasion that I do not order the Parmesan chicken, I tend to lean towards the cowboy pork chops. If you need another recommendation strawberry salad is also a great option. The only thing I have tried and have been highly disappointed is the lobster chowder. It was super runny and not enough of anything. Servers have always been prompt with the greeting and drink orders. We truly cherish when we can come here. If you are wondering where to dine give them a try.
Update: came last night for another dinner date and as always awesome! The passionfruit margarita is phenomenal. Do yourself a favor and order one just get it. The Parmesan crusted spinach dip was amazing. The lightly fried pita bread to match was exactly what it needed. The best part of this whole experience was our server Brock. He is so prompt. He checked on us constantly and made some great recommendations. He just rocked it. He most certainly went above and beyond. Make sure you...
Read moreI wanted to give my husband a night out. He decided on this place. He waited a movie and dinner in spring hill tn. So this was our first time at a longhorn steakhouse. I just wanted something light to eat so I didn't think that I could go wrong with just a soup and salad. The waiter did tell me that he would choose potatoe soup over the clam chowder. But leave it to me to choose the clam chowder it was really nasty and I take alot of pride in my cooking so I'm not for insulting anyone. But I've had better out of a can and a cheap can at that. I didn't want to say anything so I just dealt with it especially after my husband got his order and he forgot to tell the waiter to leave off the sour cream. So when he brought him another baked potatoe. And my husband asked for extra butter. The waiter acted funny like it bothered him to bring exter butter. It took him so long I just thought and handed my husband the butter off the bread tray. The waiter never come by to and offere refills or dessert I had to hunt him down to order a dessert. I give him a pretty good tip. And still wonder why. Because half way home my husband said the baked potatoe had just been microwaved he tought and wasn't that good at all. He said you can't really mess up on a steak and I disagreed with that. But he said the $28 bone in ribeye was just okay which I tried a small piece and no it wasn't that great nether . I told him at least he didn't have the nasty clam chowder. Least to say after spending $60, neither one of us pleased, we won't be going back to the longhorn steakhouse. So...
