Got there 3:45 was told we can not be serviced because they are on a break until 4:00 we should’ve left but we were excited to try this new place out We wait the 15 minutes and go back in get seated in about 5 minutes which isn’t bad but once the young lady seated us she rapidly rushed into trying to get our order without explaining the menu , specials , or how their AYCE works we asked for a minute while we look at the menu she walked away We got a new server , William , he explained the menu very well no complaints about William The owner or manager was walking around the whole time even came up to us to tell us how spicy the buldak noodles were We had four different people taking our order one who just left us hanging one who was very kind and one who had no clue what he was doing and another quiet but very sweet one The food wasn’t all that some rolls were missing ingredients that were stated in the description, bulgogi nachos with barely any cheese We got two wasabi and ginger plates per the norm although the ginger looked a bit dry not fresh … Before we were even done eating a different waitress ( other 4 people who had been at our table ) took both of the wasabi trays and asked us if we had touched either of them so she could not throw away the one we hadn’t touched … they REUSE the ginger and wasabi !!! A DIFFERENT waitress took one of our plates out of nowhere like removed it from in front of us while we still were eating We were told which rolls were full rolls and when we ordered them they came in half rolls , hand rolls are very small When we were asked for the check the manager seemed to be hovering over us Once we paid and walked out of the restaurant the manager chased after us and very rudely yelled at us asking why didn’t we leave a tip he kept demanding a tip when we told him we weren’t satisfied with the service he audibly gasped and was astounded by us not leaving a tip to a shitty service It’s so unprofessional to run after us and demand a tip or even expect a tip , tips are optional and we ALWAYS tip , this time everything was just from beginning to end not a...
Read moreFor people with allergies please read. My partner and I wanted to do sushi for our anniversary and decided to try out a new restaurant. I will say that the food was delicious! The meat skewers were packed with flavor and the sushi rolls were large and well made. I also found the atmosphere of the restaurant very fun! Sadly, the service and the lack of care is why I’m making this review. As soon as we were seated and began taking orders I let our server know that my partner has a shrimp allergy and asked that if I ordered any rolls that contained shrimp, please place on a separate plate. He agreed and was very careful about keeping the rolls separate. The issue lies in the lack of care from the other servers. The rolls themselves would take about 10-15 minutes to make it to the table despite there being only 2 other groups in the restaurant. Then when our rolls were placed, our original server would make it clear which rolls had shrimp and the name of each roll. Meanwhile, his coworkers would just place down a roll and walk away. At one point we wanted to double check which roll was which when we had ordered some well known rolls like the Blossom, the Lisa Lisa, the Spider, and the Caterpillar alongside some of their specials, like the shrimp killer, and the servers had trouble identifying which is which, leading them to ask the chefs for clarification. Later in the night we also had another server place the rolls and almost walk away without a word. The server who helped us all night had stopped his coworker and said “Do you know which roll is which?” To which his worker replied “I don’t know, I just place them.” Our server was adamant now on making sure we were ok and brought the rolls back to the chef in order to identify them for us. This lack of care is scary especially when a simple mistake or cross contamination could end my partners life. We left and we knew that despite the quality of the food, the service was too unprofessional. I wish I would’ve gotten the name of our main server because I appreciate the time he took to make sure...
Read moreThe quality of their fish is AMAZING. Definitely will be coming back for the food and service.
Family friendly: yes Parking: yes, shared lot Pet friendly: no
FOOD: Korean congee palate cleanser - sooo good. This little 4oz cup of delicious hot congee that made excited for the actual food
Sea salt assorted sashimi combo - X-Large (5 ppl) $269: 5 STARS huge seafood platter, huge sashimi platter, and 11 full size side item (spicy water sashimi salad, steam egg, chive pancake, fish cake soup, corn cheese, spicy fish stew, spicy salmon, raw shrimp marinated in soy sauce, grilled eel, assorted tempura, sushi rice topped with 3 different types of masago and seaweed salad). At first glance the price seemed very steep but it’s really $269 for 5 people - and in our case 8 people with plenty of food leftover that we had to take home.
Tofu soup (beef, mild) $14: very yummy but definitely didn’t need to order as the combo came with soup and way too much food.
Tofu soup (seafood, mild) $14: same as the beef tofu soup
RESTAURANT AND MENU: Small restaurant but probably what most would consider average size wise for a Japanese restaurant. We got there pretty early (5pm) and there were only 2 other occupied table. As it got later, the restaurant started filling up quickly.
The menu is pretty large for the size of the restaurant. Honestly I didn’t really look at it mush since I knew we were getting the combo due to the size of our group.
SERVICE: The waitress was super helpful but when she was walking us through the menu, she made it seem like we’d need more a La crate items for our party of 8 ppl.
The staff was very on top of making sure they clear any plates or eaten items since we had so much on our table. The only thing I wish they provided was some info of what the seafood platter and sashimi platter contained. It’s only explained once and after a while no could remember what we...
