What Happened in Las Vegas?

I had a shockingly bad experience here with my boyfriend for our anniversary. Typically we try not to go to places that have just opened because it means things aren’t dialed in yet, but I thought we had given this place enough time to ramp up. Definitely not. We arrived at 12:30pm, the music was blasting like we were in a club. Our waitress was extremely timid and quiet, didn’t explain anything about the menu or how things worked (it’s a pretty complicated AYCE situation). Her not speaking worked out though I guess, because even when she did speak we couldn’t hear her given the music and her small voice. I wanted clam chowder, they were out. Then my partner wanted AYCE and as it turns out if one person at your table wants it, the whole table HAS to get it too….. like what? That should be made much clearer on the menu and signage. So then I suddenly had to do that even though I didn’t want that at all, the amount of food or the options. But he was excited so I didn’t want to make us leave. The tools we were given were dull and inadequate for the seafood that came in our bags. We got oysters and they were just passable, not good not terrible, just there. Disappointing. The crab legs in my boil bag were cold as ice somehow even though the bag itself was warm (not hot like it should be, just warm). The “scallops” were so small I didn’t even know what they were until I got to the bottom of my bag. It should be mentioned on the menu that they are tiny baby scallops. We waited much too long for service to begin with, then every round we ordered took 20-30 minutes to come to the table. Waitress didn’t clear the oyster plate when we finished, it sat there the whole meal. Then we had to ask her to empty our trash bucket because she didn’t, despite it not being very busy. Had to ask for refills on drinks.. I’m hard pressed to think of a worse restaurant experience in my life to be honest. lol. If you decide to go, I hope your experience turns out better than ours.

Review for Crab N Spice – Las Vegas Location 6/14 & 6/15 I normally don’t leave negative reviews, but my experience at Crab N Spice was extremely disappointing. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was unwelcoming. The host at the door was rude and dismissive, making us feel like our presence was an inconvenience rather than a valued part of their business. To make matters worse, the security staff was just as unprofessional—cold, confrontational, and lacking any basic customer service etiquette. As paying customers, we expected a much more respectful and inviting experience, especially at the front end where first impressions are made. I truly hope the management takes a serious look at how their front-line staff are treating guests. With so many other dining options in Las Vegas, it’s unacceptable to make customers feel uncomfortable from the moment they arrive. However, I do want to highlight one positive: our waitress, La La, was the saving grace of the night. She was extremely helpful, kind, and attentive throughout our entire visit. If it wasn’t for her professionalism and warmth, this experience would have been a complete disaster. I’m thankful for her on this Father’s Day weekend 2025. Again , First impressions matter—and right now, the first impression is one of disrespect and discomfort BUT nevertheless La La was amazing and the food was pretty good. We would come back because of La La but anything less than her, it’s a hard pass. P.s. the Atmosphere was great besides the bad looks and the pointing of fingers from the host, the service was excellent from LaLa but the initial impression from the door host was unsatisfactory. Best, Concerned out of town customer

My brother and I came to eat the all you can eat crabs we chose the AYCE which is bigger better and all you can eat When the bags came they did not come as ordered 1 tiny piece of sausage one mind you one and no shrimp I paid extra so the shrimp was de vained but there wasn’t even shrimp the crab was so small there was no meat in the crabs some of the meat wasn’t even in them there were no utensils to cut up the crabs other than a pair of scissors that were so dull. The manager told me that the reason why was because people steal them that’s not an excuse. I couldn’t even eat the meat because there wasn’t meat to eat to begin with. it was the cheapest crab you can buy I couldn’t even get a five-year-old child to fill up let alone myself as an adult. They don’t give you enough proportions. The crab is so tiny. There’s barely any meat to it. We had spent a substantial amount of money and still ended up after them taking money off paid over $100 plus the big tip that we left for the wonderful waitress. She was kind of of course, but we were very upset. The whole order was messed up. I would not recommend this place to anyone. The atmosphere is nice. The people are nice but in the end, the manager on duty knew and saw the food. We didn’t even eat it. I was so sad. Every cluster that I would pick up was smaller than my pinky nail. There was no meat to get, and when you would try to use the scissors to even remotely get any piece of the claw. You couldn’t open it up anyway, because the scissors again were so dull that was the only utensil that you were given to try to eat any of the food if at all if it was edible, the bags were so tiny. I am from the south this is not how crab should be. This is not how food should be served. They called themselves giving us a discount but still ended up spending over $100 on our meal and we only ate enough for a five year-old we left 98% of our food on the table uneaten because there was no food to eat. They were so tiny. I keep saying this again because all you can eat we couldn’t even eat the first bag because you could not eat it so how could we do all you can eat? I will never go back here again and as far as I’m concerned, we should’ve been treated fairly more than we were I do not recommend this place for anyone. If you do eat here you must really enjoy the tiniest crabs. These are immature crabs that they are selling they shouldn’t have even been taken From the ocean, there is a limit to how the length is and how much a crab should weigh before it can be confirmed and taken from the ocean. These were adolescent crabs. They were so tiny. There was no meat to eat. I came home, crying very hungry because we had spent the money we did and it was unfair

I want to reiterate something as this went on I stayed in constant contact with my waitress explaining to her, my unhappiness, I showed her where there was parts of the crab that had no meat at all in it, as if it fell out before served. The bag of crabs were so tiny. We had actually paid for the bigger portions of all you can eat my brother-in-law ended up only eating Just his shrimp then they brought out more to feel like that was a way of making up for us the point is is for what you paid for. It’s not enough food and now that I read all of the reviews. A lot of this makes sense. You can’t have all you can eat and make everybody eat the same thing I will be contacting the city about the store and the Better Business Bureau because I am very upset that it meant more to them to keep our money and find a way of still making us paid over $100 for our meal when they sit there in scene we barely ate or touched anything. And left crying and hungry after we paid for something we could not eat. We never got a chance to get a second round of food because the first round wasn’t even mature crabs there was nothing you could eat, and there was no way to crack the crab open to eat in the...

PROMOTE CARLOS IMMEDIATELY. Our server Carlos saved the day. No, seriously. The remaining staff was absolutely abhorrent, unenthusiastic, and indifferent about everything they do. Beginning with the awful woman checking guests in. She would not help nor elaborate why half of my group who weren’t doing all you can eat could not sit in a separate table adjacent to those of us who were. Furthermore, she would not allow adding any extra guests assigned by all you can eat vs not. She hates her job so much and smiled exactly zero times.

Why is this restaurant making it so difficult to seat any customers who want to spend money there? And why are their poor servers entering everything by hand in a tiny hand held device individually by item and individually per guest? It takes serval minutes just to enter each item line by line, per individual guest. It should not be this tedious for both the customer and server experience.

While we were waiting, we ordered drinks from the side bar. Similar to our greeting hostess, this other gentleman taking our drink order was incredibly awful. “What do you want?” Who greets their guests like this? Rude.

Fortunately for Crab N Spice, CARLOS SAVED THE DAY. He was extremely enthusiastic, attentive, and helpful the entire time, even when the kitchen was messing up our orders. The first round of king crab legs were tiny. So tiny that it seemed the kitchen was trying to get rid of the remaining small leg batches from the a la carte menu and giving it guests doing the all you can eat menu. Carlos was on it with communicating what happened with the kitchen and they corrected our batches to normal sized legs promptly. Carlos not only offered quick detailed explanations, he also went above and beyond in making sure our drinks were filled and that our orders were correct from that point on.

The normal sized crab legs were scrumptiously tasty. Often times, “all you can eat” king crab and snow crab are small and emaciated. These crab legs were full of flavor and meat portions per leg were more than adequate. The sides were below average, including the French fries (mushy and short) and chicken wings (burnt and taste reused from the day before). The shrimp was adequate but were not deveined. Overall, I only recommend the king crab.

When the check came, there was one small error in being charged for extra clams that we didn’t order but Carlos corrected this immediately. Without Carlos, we would not have stayed.

In summary, promote Carlos immediately and promptly replace everybody else, please...

ONE WORD! TRASH SERVICE, FOOD, MANGERS, WAITER, Very unprofessional with a hard to explain unnecessary menu! Our waiter was very impatient and rude! We were on vacation and wanted seafood and thought we would give it a try! Don’t ever go there it is over priced and they have no clue what king crab is! My daughter was given king crab shells with nothing in them😡 and the manager acted like we were lying! She had no problem paying for the food if it was good and done right but it was TRASH! I was given a bag with nothing but sauce 🤮 with whole shrimp and poop on it! Everything is ridiculous priced! This is supposed to be all you can eat! First bag 1 small potato, 1 small sausage, and they have penny size quail eggs🤮 when asked for another round of seafood that was supposed to all you can eat my daughter never received it . Also I asked for more potatoes and sausage they brought me 2 potatoes and 2 pieces of sausage with no sauce because you can’t get it if you don’t order any meat🤷🏾‍♀️ we left whole bags on the table full of food that a dog would not eat! We were also treated like one! The manager told my daughter he would give her a discount because of her king crabs that she never got to eat and took 10 dollars off of a 100.00 dollar ticket remind you that the all you can eat was 38 dollars and a additional 42 dollars for Kong crab 😡 pure Trash! Oh yeah don’t forget the 18% gratuity that automatically added to your ticket as if the bill wasn’t high enough! My point is this! We didn’t have a problem with paying for anything if it was correct but to know that the manager and their staff didn’t take time to help or fix the problem. I would never eat there again! Over priced and very confused on how to order! So complicated for no reason! I have never in my life been to a restaurant and couldn’t understand how to order my food! There is so much more to this ridiculous story but never mind just Dont go period! This place is a pure disaster and would not recommend it to a soul. I wish I could give...
